  2. Curious if anyone could point me towards resources that show how swaying plants can be made (and please, not unity tutorials, we don't have those editing powers in CK). Either MAX or Nifskope, doesn't matter as long as it teaches what I need to know.
  3. Hey all, it's been many months since my last venture into this concept, but it really is the only mod I feel I need at this point to bring me back into the game. Self Growing Crops. There have been many posts about it, prior to DLC releases etc, and I am wondering if there is anyone working on this, or a form of a mod to accomplish this task. I just want to be able to plant crops and let them grow on their own over time (or require water/fertilizer if possible) and let ME harvest them. I don't want any settlers on my property. Some settlements are just that, settlements. Farmers, scavengers, merchants etc. and some are personal home properties where I like to be self sufficient. I am aware that you can have assign automatons as well as settlers, but even something like a "Sprinkler" that allows them to grow on their own would be cool. So, what's up farmers? Give me some good news.
  4. I'm currently reinstalling and thought I had kept an archive of all my mods, but I'm missing the UHD Lavender Plant retexture, and it's apparently no longer on Nexus. I don't remember the author's name, just the file name. 1K, 2K, 4K, it doesn't matter which version... I need that texture! lol Whoever can find it or possibly has the file and can hook me up with it will be my hero!
  5. Yes, I know in the lore the Potato went extinct. According to one scribe, who may have been a bit dehydrated, and far from home. This mod request is simple. A potato plant. See, potatoes are actually pretty hardy little plants, and can grow almost anywhere. Their use as a survival food has been well documented in a very long study codenamed Ireland, as well as their commercial potential in a study codenamed Idaho. We had potatoes in New Vegas, but it appears that since that was an Obsidian game rather than a Bethesda, that idea got chucked out the window. Lore friendlier version: Extinct for many years until a wandering adventurer by the name of Carlton Ricks stumbled into an ASV (American Seed Vault), the potato seems to have thrived in the post-apocalyptic soil. With a resurgence not seen in a plant, it has adapted rather well. Or perhaps a new area? Maybe Nate/Nora (or whatever you've named them) finds the Seed Vault themselves? Stats: Weight: 1 (Reasonably good-sized potato) Food (for NPCs): 1 Food (Survival): Filling (whatever weirdass variables makes it that way.) After all, a 'standard' sized human can survive off potatoes for quite some time. Just potatoes. Value: 5 caps max? Recipes: Vegetable Starch, Stews, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Potatoes, Fries (Maybe?), and however many other combinations one can think of?
  6. Hello. I am using mod Homemaker (or something like that) which adds tons of new objects for settlements in the game. One such objects are food planters, which i find better than regular plants. Mod also adds planters with healthier looking plants, much nicer, that also give off healthier produce which all have "fresh" in front of it, for instance "fresh carrot" or "fresh melon" and such. I think those "fresh" planters come from vault 81 originally, but the mod allows player to use them in their settlement. What my problem is, is that only some plants have their corresponding "fresh" version, such as carrots, melons and corn, but others dont, like mutfruit, gourd and tato. I have created (well, photoshoped) myself new textures for tato and gourd so far to make them look healthier and more similar to the "fresh" type of plantables, basically i removed any growths from fruits, made leafs green and such. What i tried to do was to create new planters, change their properties so they would be more similar tot he "fresh" planters, and apply textures to them, unfortunately i dont know how to apply textures to given mesh. For instance, this would add "fresh tato planter" for player to use, but i want this planter to use my custom texture, and ONLY that planter to use it, for now all tato plants use it since that was the only thing i could put in game.   7. If someone even work with trees or plants, please tell me how this pipeline work, i'd appreciate it! So, this part of mod will replace vanilla on my trees with regional placement, depending on nature aspect. I never tryed before do somthing for Skyrim. But, work with few engines, like cryengine, udk. This whole new world for me guys )))) Maybe someone share link on tutorial or smthg. This software im using: Creation Kit, BSAopt, NIFScope, Cinema 4D(optional) I want to know how create new tree with animation and collusion of course. How to do easy: make new tree or replace existing? VERY HOPE ON YOU, DOVAKHIN :] Seriously, its important for me. If i dont get it, maybe great modification will be gone forever. Thanks.

  9. I have a few ideas for a spore plant themed mod: a mask that makes the wearers head a spore plant (sans stem and roots) A walk cycle for spore plants for a possible companion plant A perk affects the plants making them non-hostile

  11. How does one go about removing things in the New Vegas world? I've seen a few Mods where people have "cleaned up" New Vegas by removing junk such as empty bottles, tin cans, etc. I love the idea of a dead wasteland with a completely dry desert from plant life. I'm talking about the Barrel Cacti and the banana yucca, the maize plant, pretty much everything that has to do with using your survival skill when it comes to plants. How would one go about removing them from the game, is it a relatively easy task? I've been trying to figure out how to do it for a while now and any help would be greatly appreciated.
