  1. Hi My first question is about the general ambient soundscape that plays in the background of the game. I mean the kind of sounds that "Audio Overhaul for Skyrim" and "Immersive Sounds Compedium" change. The kind of background sounds that make the exterior worldspace feel more alive. Are those sounds really all attached to the green sound files and nowhere else? I need to go to audio-->sound markers, and start dropping them in? There is no package for "pine forest ambient sounds", for example? Something that would play in the background just like the background music does? No ambient soundtrack exists? My second question is about placing birds in my worldspace. The bird of prey is fine, but I cannot get the "small bird" critter to work in game. If I drop one in, it stands there like model of a bird. No animation plays. Does it require some extra step? I really did try to find info on this but I couldn't find anything. Thank you in advance!
  2. Is there anyone able to create a mod that eliminates the incessant jingling sound produced by walking in the Cinderclown shoes? The constant noise with each step has become unbearable. Thank you!

  4. Hey guys! I've somewhat started using the GECK last night for the first time, and I thought to myself.. hmm, maybe some custom sounds would be nice! But when I added the sounds, I place my weapon in the game, go to collect the weapon and fire it, there is no sound at all besides the bullet hitting the wall and the bolt action feed/clip reload. The audio files are of .Wav format (as I read, they are required to be .Wav?) I have added these sounds to the "3D, 2D and Dist." options in the "Art & Sound" tab.The audio files are added into the Data/sounds/fx/wpn folder. They are also added into the GECK's "Audio -> Sound" tab. Perhaps my delivery of the actual sound files is wrong? Are they required to be a certain size? A certain Bit quantity, higher quality? Any help is appreciated, thank you for reading.
  5. New to mods, learning - I scoured the internet and forums for this answer and could not find the right one I was looking for - maybe I'm not wording it correctly- but, I've figured out how to stop animation, turn off aggression, stop combat, and setscale on NPC's - some NPC's have their own looping sounds that are still heard even after the animation is stopped - such as, the Draugrs - who make a looping grunting sound. I've been decorating my home with NPC "action figures" dolls on bookshelves and tables. Is there a console command that shuts off NPC sounds after their animation has stopped? Thank you for any help! UPDATED 5/8/2018
  6. i'm trying to make a minigun sound mod by editing WPN_Minigun_Fire_LPM.wav sound file in audacity, but when i play the game with it, the moment i fire the minigun the sound starts looping forever after i finish shooting. it even happens if i just use the original audio file after i only opened and saved it (with the same bitrate as original) in audacity without even changing it. do you know what could be the issue?
  7. Has anyone encountered an issue where when you change the use sound (ITMPotionUse) of a drink, its icon in SkyUI changes to a food icon? I have not found in the SkyUI scripts to bind icons through the use sound. How can I fix it?
  8. TrophiHunter's MP40 mod is awesome. Recently got back into using it, and I realized that the sounds need a touch up. They are too quiet and I feel like I've heard better, more accurate versions of the MP40's sounds since the original mod released. Even though it is no longer available on Nexus, I feel like a new sound set would be the perfect thing to reinvigorate folks' appreciation towards this mod and the MP40 in Fallout 4.
  9. I tried to make it by myself, downloaded everything i need, but when i made my mod - game started with no sounds at all
  10. Unable to find a good tutorial for the weapons sound modding for Mafia III I've tried to recover a tutorial from the MafiaMods site with the Wayback Machine and I thought to copy and paste the topic made by MycGyver (you may know him as a sound modder for various Mafia 2 and GTA V Sounds mod, YT Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MacGyver90) just in case if someone want to try to mod the sounds of the weapons in the game. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MycGyver: I want to make a mod of realistic gun sounds for Mafia 3. I have been able to extract BNK files with the MafiaIII_ResourceExplorer_1.1 from SDS Weapons Files. I could also convert the BNK file to Wav with Ravioli Explorer, but now I do not know how to convert Wav files to BNK. When extracting the BNK in WAV, several Wav files are created that I can easily edit them; but I have no idea how to turn them back into BNK. In Mafia 2 you could with the FSB FMOD Converter. 11. I'm not sure if this exists or not, I've looked around for it, I can't find it. I'm looking for something that adds more movement sounds. Clarification - I don't mean just footsteps. I mean like the little jingles and jangles of buckles and carabiners, the kinda clacking sounds of a weapon with a full magazine shifting and moving around as your character runs. Those immersive sounds make me happy and Fallout 4 is really lacking in them, in my experience. I have mods for Power Armor movement sounds, but I can't find anything for actual on-foot movement sounds. Anyone know if this exists?
  12. I know that we should use this way to create level up sound mod in skyrim: data -> sound -> fx -> ui -> add our custom .wav file with name "ui_levelup.wav". In Fallout 4 we have the same system, but our custom file should be named as "UI_LevelUpText.xwm" (instead of .wav, i suppose). And what about Starfield? What's new Level Up file name? Should we use .xwm or .wav? Ps: don't be angry because of my poor english, I''m trying to increase my skill, so this why i don't use google translate.
  13. I have downloaded some mods like SoS (Sounds of Skyrim), Immersive sounds, and some others that change the sounds on the game. But then, some others sounds like steps, attack sounds, and even the shouts doesn't play anymore. I think that this may be related to those mods that change the tracks, or maybe not. But so the music doesn't play, you now how sad is not listening to the amazing music of this game? I want all the vanila sounds back, and the music too. I dont know why it happens or how to fix it. Please, help  Edit: I disable all mods that change the sounds in the game and the problem still happens.
  14. So I like building with Vault Workshop, even outside of vault areas, but the banging echi when stepping on the floor of those are annoying. Anyone know what sound to replace to remove those or know anyone who has already done that who could point me in the right direction?
  15. As someone tried to add custom weapons sounds in the game ? I only managed to extract the sounds from the sds files, but I don't know if how do they work.
  16. I tried to make my own sounds for automatic laser rifle, but ended hearing continous shooting sound after shooting one time
  17. This is a pretty simple question, so I'll cut right to it. Is it possible to make sound descriptors pull at random from folders? Without specifying every individual file in those folders? I could swear I remember this kind of functionality being available in New Vegas, but I can't seem to find it - or any examples of it - in FO4's Creation Kit.
  18. Basically after playing for a while, audio will begin to lag, particularly in combat, but also footsteps, sounds of jumping etc. Gunshots and XP sounds will not happen when their visuals happen and then all of sudden the sounds will happen all at the same time, like they are only now catching up. My game is 4gb patched, I'm using the NVSE memory tweak and I'm playing with completely vanilla textures, so I can't imagine its some kind a memory issue.I'm also using the performance tweaks in the TTW performance guide, like the ini tweaks, and have tried with and without the Ogg Audio libraries, no difference.I'm also playing with a very minimalist mod list, and so I don't think its script lag or anything.I've checked all my drivers with DXDIAG and it reports no errors and that they are all up to date.I've also tried creating fresh ini files and reinstalling the game fresh without success. Here's my plugin list https://pastebin.com/v7nt8zwU and a video better detailing the type of lag (best example is at around 50 seconds, but it happens throughout) Any help would be great.
  19. Hey. Backstory (not sure if relevant): I have recently noticed that during my initial load of the game (first load during the session) two music files are played at the same time: one of the current ambience my character is in and the other one being "Awake" ( i believe that's its name). I didn't pay too much attention to it at first thinking it's a random occurance, one-time (two-time?) bug and... well, it didn't bother me that much tbh. Once that "Awake" track's been played, the usual rotation would go unhindered (correct music files played at their corresponding locations and events). Thinking about this matter while checking Nexus whether that mushroom house is back again, I decided to check the "Audio - Music" section of Nexus and installed a few music mods. I checked SSE High Quality Music, Unofficial High Definition Audio Project. Played a couple of days with it without noticing any difference (thoght my ears aren't qualified enough to). Then i decided to install a few music alterations (Music mods merged with correct installations). Now here's where the problem begins. The issue: My main save files don't play correct musics when they should except for the initial load of the game. Not just the savefile, but only after I start Skyrim. If i load a save - it doesn't play either. Moreover, when i try to play certain music files via console (ex: musdungeonxx), nothing happens. HOWEVER if i start a new game or load a fresh character (level 2 cat) this issue is not present - everything works fine. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling various music mods, altering .ini, nothing happens. The world of my main character has become silent. It does play a few music files (that f*#@ing "Awake" and sometimes combat music (but not always). I wonder what might be the cause of that because it's definitely not mod-related (my new games and my main have the same mod list and orders). I also tried ReSaver, cleaned around 450 scripts, but the issue did not go. What do.

  22. If it can be done and I'm quite sure it's a simple request, the machetes and gladius' sound effects when sheathing should be made more intimidating instead of it sounding like pulling wood out of a cardboard box. Thanks. (Should sound like a blade unsheathing).
  23. I dont't know if its me but the original Xcoms(EU,EW) combat music is more tense and action oriented, it makes it feel like a desperate attempt against overwhelming forces an Example is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqfHuaHvaT4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68YtyULnlPA that feeling of pressure is just not there in Xcom 2's combat music... at least for me. If some one could add those in or make an override of the music that be amazing. Thanks in advance!
  24. Hey there, This is my first post, so if I make any mistakes, that's probably why. So I downloaded the Improved Sound FX mod by dDefinder1 and installed it. The mod itself worked fine but I didn't really like the gun sounds too much, so I decided to edit them for myself and make them a bit more punchy. However, once I replaced the modded sounds with my own edited ones, they wouldn't be played in game anymore. I booted up GECK to see if it can play the sounds but it couldn't. Changing the sound back to one of the original modded sounds or even an exported version of the original sound works, but my own sounds won't play. Here's what I already did: - exported 3d sounds to stereo or mono (no difference) - made sure the sound doesn't clip - made bitrate and samplerate equal to what they are in the vanilla sounds (48000 Hz/ 1536 Kb/s) - renamed the files and put them in a custom folder, then changed the sound path in GECK to see if it makes a difference - Made the sound equal in length to the vanilla sound Has anyone else experienced issues like this? Maybe someone has an idea how to fix the problem. Thanks to everyone in advance. P.S.: Here's a link to my sound file, maybe you can find something out that I can't.: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0cLWR8g8SH3dXB2OE0xb2JLRW8
  25. Anyone know the filename of some of the most basic player sounds like ''yes'', ''no'', ''Show me what you got'' etc. Thanks in advance.
