Overview

This mod adds a new playable race, the Tiger-kin, to Baldur's Gate 3!

Customization

You can play as either a feminine or masculine Tiger-kin—with equal hair, skin, and eye options for each. Tiger-kin each come with 2 faces, and have colorable fur. The two methods to changing your fur are the skin color picker, and the horn color picker. These allow for unique combinations!

Tags

The Tiger-kin are tagged as a "Bestial" and "Planar" race. This is in line with the lore I have set for them; they are hunters of the outer realms of existence, preying on celestials and other magnificent creatures.

Abilities & Passives

(Level 1) Clan Training - You are proficient with your clan's chosen weapons of war: the Light Hammer, Warhammer, or Maul.

(Level 1) Claw Strike - Claw attack that inflicts 1d6+UnarmedMeleeAbilityModifier of slashing damage, plus Bleeding.

(Level 1) Speak with Animals

(Level 1) Feline Feet - You are able to move an additional 1.5 meters if you are wearing no armor.

(Level 1) Bonus Action Dash - Once per Short Rest, you may dash as a bonus action.

(Level 2) Ancient Rage - Berserk as a man eating beast; you gain Advantage on targets with less than 100% health. Gain the ability to pounce on targets and potentially knock them prone with an unarmed leap. Available Once per Long Rest.

(Level 2) Light Footed - Advantage on Stealth checks.

(Level 3) Hunter Mark - Utilize the spell Hunter's Mark with an action point. Functions as the normal spell does; available for use Once per Short Rest.

(Level 5) Second Story Work - Reduction of fall damage.

(Level 7) Steeped in Slaughter - Gain Advantage on Bleeding targets.

(Level 9) Bloody Savage - if you land a critical strike on a bleeding target, roll an extra dice of damage.

Quirks/Known issues

• ⚠️ Warning: this mod was made by a weird dad. Be prepared for goofy responses to your comments. ⚠️ 
• Tiger-kin utilize a remodeled Sabretooth Tiger mesh from the vanilla game as the base for the head options, and as such are fully unique in their bodily structure. Extra lengths were gone to in order to make these models emote properly. Because the tiger head does not feature a UV map that is consistent with vanilla race heads, the Make Up atlas, Tattoo atlas, and scars have all been turned off due to the misplacement they would have on the head if they were to be made active.
• Piercings should not be utilized at this time; the need for a custom armature for the head is on the list of things to do in order to get the bones that would control piercing placement to be positioned by the tiger's ears.
• The male Tiger-kin is fitted to utilize Dragonborn clothing; the female Tiger-kin is fitted to strong body female clothing. Don't ask me why I stumbled into doing it this way. I may change the male set up in the future. We'll see.
• Race icon is not in place at this time; turnaround to get this implemented is TBD. I don't have the artistic ability to make an icon, and I would then need to go through the steps to get the icon interfaced with ImprovedUI, which I need to remember how to do.
• Genitalia will not be worked on at this time, sorry folks. Just not at the top of my list to do. If you wanna contribute that part, feel free to reach out to me and I'll give you the textures I utilized for the body and head to keep things consistent.
