About this mod

Restricts the amount of long rests you can take in the game. Configure how many long rests you can take per act with Mod Configuration menu.

Changelogs
Got too much food? Want to try a playthrough with fewer long rests? This mod may be for you. Note that you can still get all the cutscenes happening during long rests - this mod limits how many long rests are healing you and regenerating spell slots.

List of changes to the game

  • Sets supplies needed for long rest to 30,000. Disables healing for partial rests, so you will heal *nothing* if you use below 30,000 supplies
  • The mod adds "Coins of Deep Slumber" to make long rests possible again, with each coin being worth 100,000 supplies
  • So 1 coin = 1 long rest
  • You can configure how many of those coins you get, both per act and for the whole game.

I only uploaded one version of the mod, you will have to configure it yourself using the Mod Configuration Menu (default: 5 per act, 0 for the whole game). As an example: If you configure 5 per act and 10 for the whole game, you'll get 10 + 5 = 15 at the start of act 1, then 5 at the start of act 2 and act 3.
Note that you can still get all the cutscenes happening during long rests. You just won't get any healing if you don't use a coin.

Installation

Requires Script Extender, Mod fixer (pak mods need mod fixer to work) and Mod Configuration Menu
Install with BG3 Mod Manager.
Recommended to start a new game and configure mod settings in the Nautiloid.
You can install mid-run, but will only get coins at the start of a new act. If you fucked up somewhere, not to worry, you can add more coins using this console command:

TemplateAddTo("901f0bff-79ae-457b-82d6-67000b567d00", GetHostCharacter(), 1)

Replace the 1 with a different number if you want more than one coin.
If you don't know how to access the console, check this article.

Known bug: supplies needed for a long rest might not update in existing games. If not in custom difficulty, change difficulty to fix.

Compatibility?

Mods doing the same thing will overwrite/be overwritten depending on load order.
