Announcements
I have received several requests for an option to scale Ki by your Wisdom modifier. I thought about making it an optional file, but this is not strictly 5e (despite being a common house rule) and the file doesn't require this mod to work, so I published it as a standalone mod here: Monk - Wisdom Ki Scaling.

Additions

Unarmed Strike
  • unlocks Unarmed Strike as a Monk action in case you want to deal unarmed damage with the Attack action while a weapon is equipped
  • also see Unlocked Unarmed Strike by Azrael, which unlocks Unarmed Strike as a common player action (like Dash) instead of as a class action

Attack of Opportunity: Unarmed
  • adds a toggleable passive that changes your opportunity attack to deal unarmed damage if you have a weapon equipped

Flurry of Blows: Double Strike
  • adds the attacks "First Strike" and "Second Strike" which can be used instead of Flurry of Blows to attack multiple targets
  • The Way of the Open Hand subclass has split versions of all three Open Hand Technique attacks

Stunning Strike (Passive)
  • adds a toggleable passive that lets you apply the stun after landing a melee hit (still costs 1 ki per stun attempt)

Optional Features from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything
  • Ki-Fueled Attack: Starting at 3rd level, if you spend 1 ki point or more as part of your action on your turn, you can make one attack with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon as a bonus action before the end of the turn. Note: due to limitations, this will only work with actions that cost both your Action and at least 1 Ki (such as most monk spells). Reactions/interrupts that cost Ki (such as Stunning Strike and Focused Aim) will not activate this feature by themselves, even if used as part of your Action.
  • Quickened Healing: Starting at 4th level, as an action, you can spend 2 ki points to regain a number of hit points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die plus your proficiency bonus.
  • Focused Aim: Starting at 5th level, when you miss with an attack roll, you can spend 1 to 3 ki points to increase your attack roll by 2 for each of these ki points you spend, potentially turning the miss into a hit.

Changes

Bonus Unarmed Strike
  • reassigns original icon to "Flurry of Blows: Double Strike" and uses the "Unarmed Attack" icon instead to avoid icon ambiguity

Open Hand Technique
  • changes Topple and Push to use Ki Save DC (8+PB+WIS) instead of Maneuver Save DC (10+STR/DEX)

Stunning Strike
  • changes Stunning Strike (vanilla actions and new passive) to use Ki Save DC (8+PB+WIS) instead of Maneuver Save DC (10+STR/DEX)

Slow Fall
  • changes Slow Fall to reduce damage by 5 x Monk Level instead of by half
  • adds prone immunity to the landing when the reaction activates
  • credit to jellytajm for implementation in Monk - Fixed Slow Fall (closer to 5e)

Compatibility & Load Order

Better Monk Slow Fall (closer to 5e): Redundant. It has been incorporated into this mod with the addition of prone immunity when landing.

Monk Subclass - Way of Mercy / Monk Subclass - Way of No Mercy: You need to use the Monk 5e Adj - Mercy Patch (optional file) in order for these mods to be compatible or your Flurry of Blows actions will not work properly. Use the following load order for these three files:
  • Monk Subclass - Way of Mercy / Monk Subclass - Way of No Mercy
  • Monk 5e Adjustments
  • Monk 5e Adj - Mercy Patch

Alternate Monk: If you are using the Compatibility Framework then load this mod before Alternate Monk and you can stop reading this section, you do not need the patch file. If you are not using the Compatibility Framework, then you need to use the Alt Monk 5e Adj Patch (optional file) in order for these mods to be compatible. The only issues are that Ki-Fueled Attack will be unlocked at 2nd level (instead of 3rd level) and that Stunning Strike (Passive) will unlock at 5th level, regardless of whether you chose Stunning Strike as a technique. Use the following load order for these three files:
  • Monk 5e Adjustments
  • Alternate Monk
  • Alt Monk 5e Adj Patch

Monk Subclasses (including Alternate Monk standalone subclass mods): This mod should be fully compatible with all subclass mods that utilize the Compatibility Framework. I will not mod features added by other subclass mods (such as Flurry of Blades from Monk - Way of the Kensei Subclass Standalone). Those changes will be up to the authors of those mods.

Open Hand - Compact Buttons (optional file): This collapses the 6 Flurry of Blows attacks from the Way of the Open Hand subclass into two expandable buttons on your hotbar - one for standard Flurry of Blows and one for the split versions. It must be loaded AFTER this mod or the collapsed buttons will not be available. Note that this file will only affect the Way of the Open Hand subclass. Not compatible with Alternate Monk.
