Despite me doing what Mizora asked,
I can't unfrick the flag, but I can just apply a sledgehammer that gives me the item. Ta-dah! If you're suffering the same fate - or just
don't want to kill a potential companion, I think this mod can help you.
To install:
This mod requires the Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender by Norbyte. Please follow the instructions there for installation help.

As well as that, it also requires the Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer - https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/141
From there, unzip the file, and import the pak, save your load order and export it to the game with your mod loader of choice.
