About this mod

Set's the Max Level to 144.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
NO LONGER MAINTAINED, SEE THE LATEST UPDATE BELOW

DESCRIPTION:

This is an alteration of Malcroix mod "Level 20 (Multiclass)", instead of the max level being 20, it is put up to 144, enabling you to reach max level with all the vanilla classes for Baldur's Gate 3.

There are currently 2 version of this mod:

  • Power levelling: this version only requires 200xp a time to level up, therefore it will happen very quickly.
  • Vanilla Progression: This versions xp requirement is closer to what it would be in the base game if it allowed levelling up to 144 (shout-out to JackZR for the levelling table!)

This mod Requires Dummy Levels for multiclassing by Proxa to function properly, as after reaching level 12 without this mod, a CTD will occur due to the game trying to progress to the next level without there being any data there for it.

As such, I strongly recommend downloading BG3 Mod Manager to install this, as it is far easier than manually installing the mod.

I also recommend downloading Malcroix mod as well and overwriting with this, as he has a loot table in his mod too (all mine does is alter the max level).

UPDATE: 09/06/2024

HI All,

Unfortunately, due to work and personal commitments now, I can no longer maintain this mod.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who used this & the help they gave me in keeping it alive.
If anyone would like to take over it's upkeep, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment, I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
In the interim, go to the comments and look at the sticky post, there you will find a comment with two mods that will duplicate the functionality of this mod.

Happy modding and gaming to all!

UPDATE: 22/10/2023

Hi there people, a couple of updates and clarifications on the mod.

Firstly, I've altered the names of the files to clarify the xp needed for levelling up.

  • Power levelling will only require 200xp each level, so you will level very quickly,

  • Vanilla Progression will have far slower levelling, as the values gradually increase for each level (Many thanks to JackZR for providing the levelling table for this, show him the love!)

Secondly, if you are getting stuck on level 20, one of two things is happening (usually).

  • If you have installed the level 20 multiclass mod after mine, which means you will effectively be using it and you will cap out at level 20.

  • You have tried to install this mod with the bg3 mod manager or vortex, this mod requires manual installation to function correctly.

If you do have any difficulties with my mod, please trying re-installing it first, overwriting when asked to see if it rectifies your issue.
If you have no joy with this, feel free to leave a bug report or just a post and hopefully I or someone in the modding community will be able to help you with it.

I hope everyone has found this useful, enjoy Baldur's Gate 3!

HARD REQUIREMENTS:

BG3 Mod Manager

Dummy Levels For Multiclassing (Level 13) (if this stops working, click on the link above and download the Level 13 option)

SOFT REQUIREMENT:

Level 20 (Multiclass) (for the loot table contained within, you overwrite the main files when you install my alteration)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION OF OTHER MOD:

Step One: download BG3 Mod Manager and extract it to wherever, open the mod manager and let it set itself up (it scans and finds the path for Baldur's gate 3 automatically)

Step Two: Download Dummy Levels For Multiclassing (Level 13)

Step Three: Open The BG3 Mod Manager (if it isn't open already) and click the "File" button in the top left hand corner, click "Import Mod" and navigate to the    aforementioned mod. Click it and wait for the manager to install it.

Step Four: Drag the mod from the right hand box within the mod manager and drop it into the left.

Step Five: Click "File" again and then click "Save Order"

Step Six: Click "File" again and click "Export Order To Game" (I'm not sure if this is required or not, I do it for my own peace of mind).

You're all done, now moving on to installing my mod!

INSTALLATION OF MY MOD:

This mod requires manual installation, however it is relatively straightforward.

Step One: Download the version of the mod you want to use.

Step Two: Navigate to your Data folder in the installation directory on your computer, the file path should look like this:-

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3

Step Three: Copy the contents of the zip file to the folder, overwrite when asked (if you installed Level 20 (Multiclass), if not you will get no such dialogue box)

Step Four: Open the game and begin playing (make sure not to take the thirteenth level offered by the level up screen, as this WILL cause a CTD to occur).

Step Five: Enjoy Multiclassing!

RECCOMENDED MOD:

All of Mharius alterations to the classes & backgrounds (they are awesome & add a lot more content when levelling up).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's it, enjoy the mod, as I previously mentioned, all credit goes to Malcroix & Proxa respectively I simply made an alteration to a mod.

Also Shout-out to JackZR for providing the table for vanilla progression!

Hope you enjoy!
