Adds big, long beards, only for dwarven character

I've been frustrated by the lack of big beards for dwarves since EA, now i'm finally able to right this wrong! this is still rough around the edges, clunky, physics are a bit all over the place and they do look  stiff but it's a start, so let's consider this mod a first draft

05/12/2023 UPDATE -> added the all in one version which comes with 2 new beards ( F and F1 ), a full rework of the 'practical braid' ( E and E1 ) along with physics and model reworks of the versions A, B and C

8 versions so far :

  • version A -> literally just reverse umberlee
  • version B -> 'Fireforge Tassels' but bigger and longer ( and messier )
  • version C -> custom braided beard with big ornaments, highly inspired by a model from World of Warcraft
  • version D -> custom beard based on Beast's glorious beard from Divinity Original Sin: II
  • version E -> custom beard styled in one big braid
  • version E1 -> same as E but without the mustache
  • version F -> custom beard based on Balin's beard from the Hobbit movies
  • version F1 -> same as E but with a mustache

Will add more in the future !






  • unzip and drop the 'dwarven_beards_X' file in your  Baldur's gate 3 'mods' folder (Users\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods 
  • Install with the BG3 mod manager





  • works ONLY on dwarf, for both genders
  • Now compatible with Trip's Accessories, a completely uneeded file in my template was causing the problem, it's now gone and everything works fine




  • Clipping ! the physics are ... what they are lmao, did my best to minimize it but it's inevitable during animations, if clipping and awkward physics are a problem you can't look past, this mod isn't for you
