Requirements: Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer

This is a slightly buffed version of my Monk Subclass - Way of Mercy mod that was made upon request. The original subclass mod was as faithful to 5e as possible, which made it feel underpowered compared to the other subclasses that received buffs in BG3. This subclass is a more powerful version I made to feel as powerful as the other subclass options while remaining balanced. Here are the changes made from the original Way of Mercy subclass:
  • Hands of Healing (renamed Hands of Relief) is unchanged.
  • Hand of Harm (renamed Hand of Ruin) no longer costs ki and now prevents the target from making reactions until its next turn, allowing you to move away without provoking an Attack of Opportunity. The poison effect was moved from Level 6 to Level 9.
  • Triage is a new action similar to Open Hand's Wholeness of Body. For 3 turns, it gives you an extra bonus action, restores 3 ki each time you use Hand of Ruin, and increases your healing by your dexterity modifier.

Way of No Mercy

3rd Level: Implements of Mercy
You gain proficiency in the Insight and Medicine skills.

3rd Level: Hands of Relief
At 3rd level, your mystical touch can mend wounds. As an action, you can spend 1 ki point to touch a creature and restore a number of hit points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier.
When you use your Flurry of Blows, you can replace one of the unarmed strikes with a use of this feature without spending a ki point for the healing.

3rd Level: Hand of Ruin
At 3rd level, you use your ki to inflict wounds. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can deal extra necrotic damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier. You can use this feature only once per turn. The affected creature will be unable to make reactions until its next turn.

6th Level: Physician's Touch
Starting at 6th level, you can administer even greater cures with a touch, and if you feel it's necessary, you can use your knowledge to cause harm.
When you use Hands of Relief on a creature, you also end one disease or one of the following conditions affecting the creature: blinded, paralyzed, poisoned, or stunned.

6th Level: Triage
At 6th level, you are able to assess the current situation and devote more energy to those who need it, and drain it from those who don't. For 3 turns, HP restored by your healing restores an additional amount equal to your dexterity modifier. Additionally, each successful use of Hand of Ruin will restore 3 ki points and you will have an extra bonus action. Once per long rest.

9th Level: Flurry of Relief and Ruin
You can now mete out a flurry of comfort and hurt. When you use Flurry of Blows, you can now replace each of the unarmed strikes with a use of your Hands of Relief, without spending ki points for the healing.
In addition, when you use Hand of Ruin on a creature, you subject that creature to the poisoned condition for 1 turn.

11th Level: Hand of Ultimate Mercy
Your mastery of life energy opens the door to the ultimate mercy. As an action, you can touch the body of a fallen ally and expend 5 ki points. The ally then returns to life, regaining a number of hit points equal to 4d10 + your Wisdom modifier.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Compatibility

Monk 5e Adjustments: You need to use the Monk 5e Adj - Mercy Patch (see optional files on the Monk 5e Adjustments mod page) in order for these mods to be compatible or your Flurry of Blows actions will not work properly. Yes, this is the same compatibility patch used by Monk Subclass - Way of Mercy. Use the following load order for these three mods:
  • Monk Subclass - Way of No Mercy
  • Monk 5e Adjustments
  • Monk 5e Adj - Mercy Patch

Monk subclasses: The Compatibility Framework is required for this mod to be compatible with other Monk subclass mods.
