Taking inspiration from Jhaerik's Disable Reactions Mod, I've crafted a mod that limits both romance and flirting interactions with companions.

Currently, this mod completely disables all romantic options, yet you can still earn approval from companions. This allows you to advance through their storylines without flirting interactions - they won't flirt with you, and you won't be able to flirt with them.

To get this mod going, pop open the BG3 mod manager, click on 'File' and import the mod. You'll find it in the 'override' section at the bottom once it's imported. Next, right-click on the mod, pick 'allow in folder,' then click 'File' to save to mod, and click 'File' once more to export to mod.

Q&A

Q: How does the mod work?

A: The mod introduces additional criteria to the game's romance, which is originally based on companion approval. It's now also based on the character's gender identity, similar to Cyberpunk 2077, rather than body type. This allows for other variations where romance can be limited by your character's background (e.g., "Folk Hero"), class (e.g., "Sorcerer"), or race (e.g., "Githyanki"), adding more role playing flavor based on preference.

Q: Which files are currently available?

A: I've uploaded one file that completely disables romance, two that cater to different sexual orientations, and another that blocks romance with just one specific character, leaving the rest available for romantic pursuits by any gender.[/b]

Q: What specific edits did you make to enable the mod?

A: Each character has specific scenes, like Wyll's dance, tagged as "CAMP_Wyll_SD_HavenRomance_ROM" where "ROM" denotes romance. I insert an additional condition alongside the approval rating at the dialogue's start. Instead of altering flags, I modify the scene directly. If a dialogue triggers unexpectedly, it indicates that I missed editing that scene. This mod should be compatible with others, such as NoRomanceLimit.

Future Updates:

Version 2.0: This will be an optional mod that introduces gender-specific restrictions.
Version 2.5: Make dialogue more platonic, and make rejections less harsh.
Version 3.0: Following that, there will be an update focused on restrictions based on Race/Class.

Requests:
I can also take requests that Restrict romance for specific characters.
