About this mod

Removes (almost) all methods of resurrection from the game for a more masochistic experience.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This mod removes all sources of Revivify (scrolls, class spells, Deva etc.) from the game so that you won't be able to resurrect characters. Resurrection via Withers is also removed.

There are two methods of resurrection that I decided to keep in the original version of this mod, but they are limited in usage. One is Cleric's Divine Intervention which can technically be used multiple times if you respec different characters into Cleric, but it's up to you if you wanna go out of your way to do that. I also added another version that removes the resurrection feature from Divine Intervention: Opulent Revival so it will only restore living allies as if they had long rested.

The other method is available in both versions and is usable one-time only. It's a bit of a spoiler maybe, but you can probably guess what it is if you've played through the game.

Worth mentioning that Withers still has the dialogue options for resurrecting characters, but after you pay him he just won't actually do anything so it's a waste of money. I did actually try to remove the dialogue options from him or replace them with some silly lines, but I had some difficulty with modifying the dialogue so I kinda gave up on it.

Some might wonder what is the point of this mod when you could just self-impose these rules, but I think some people prefer for the game to set the rules and not have to hold themselves back from using key mechanics.

Recommended: I made another mod called Change Companions Into Avatar Characters to  pair with this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/9008?tab=description Basically what the mod does is let you change your companions into an "avatar" or basically the leader character of the party who is treated the same way as the character you pick at character creation. If you use the permadeath mod and your starting character dies, this mod will let you give that role to another character and then they will be able to talk to your companions and tell them to leave or join the party and all the other stuff associated with an avatar character.

Important Update: Unfortunately some players have had an issue where they are unable to dismiss their original avatar character after they died. In my testing it seemed to work, but I was playing the game in co-op so it could be that it doesn't work in singleplayer.
