Overview

This mod adds a new playable race with three sub-races, two body types, new race progressions, immersive character tags, CC options, and more!

Customization

You can play as either a feminine or masculine Wolfkind—with equal hair, skin, and eye options for each. Wolfkind each come with 3 faces, and have colorable skin and fur. Fur is connected to the hair color, so whatever you color your hair as, your fur will follow suit. Highlights will not apply to the fur, but the graying color selection can be used to highlight/lowlight your fur! Select between 3 sub-races; Frost, Forest, and Mountain Wolf! Each features a different leveling track to follow based on their origin.

Abilities & Passives

MAIN TREE:

(Level 1) Keen Senses - Advantage on Perception checks

(Level 1) Rip and Tear - Claw attack (Rip) is followed up by another claw attack (Tear), each costing an action and bonus action respectively. These attacks function like a monk attack in that Tear is only possible after Rip is executed, but will not overwrite normal melee attacks or unarmed attacks. Each strike does a 1d8 + your Unarmed Melee Ability Modifier of Slashing damage. At this time, these strikes do not scale with your level.

FROST WOLF TREE:

(Level 1) Freezing Howl - Unleash a magic-laced howl to debilitate those nearby. Every creature within a 15-foot radius from you must make a Constitution saving throw; targets who fail this throw are shredded by the frosty pitch of your vocals. This attack scales in damage with your level.

(Level 5) Frigid Claws - Your claw attacks are now tinged with frost; inflict an additional 1d6 cold damage with Rip and Tear.

FOREST WOLF TREE:

(Level 1) Vengeful Retort - Use a reaction to return a 1d6+Dexterity attack to your aggressor.

(Level 5) Poison Claws - Your claw attacks are now laced with poison; inflict an additional 1d6 poison damage with Rip and Tear.

MOUNTAIN WOLF TREE:

(Level 1) Booming Howl - Unleash a magic-laced howl; your vocals bellow with thunderous fury. Blow away those in front of you with concussive force.

(Level 5) Rumbling Claws - Your claw attacks are now rippling with thunderous fury; inflict an additional 1d6 thunder damage with Rip and Tear.

Quirks/Known issues

  • ⚠️ Warning: this mod was made by QUIRKY PEOPLE. Be prepared for goofy responses to your comments. ⚠️
  • Wolfkind are remodeled werewolf meshes from the vanilla game, and as such are fully unique in their bodily structure. Extra lengths were gone to in order to make these models fit in clothes. There will still be clipping of fur through some clothing; this is not fixable without removing the fur entirely.
  • The male Wolfkind is dependent on the MUSCULAR MALE DRAGONBORN (add link) mod in order to fit into the clothing refitted by that mod author. This was done purposefully to allow for a more bulky male model. We will not be creating a version that does not depend on that mod at this time, so apologies if that doesn’t work for you.
  • Due to having fully custom bodies, some animations and clothes may look a little wonky on Wolfkind. Unfortunately some issues are unavoidable when doing such in-depth custom work.
  • Piercings, tattoos, scars and eye makeup may not display correctly on the custom Wolfkind heads.
  • Race icon is not in place at this time; turnaround to get this implemented is TBD.
  • Genitalia will not be worked on at this time, sorry folks. Just not at the top of our list to do.
