About this mod

Adds the tadpole powers that were in the game in the early access and aren't accessible anymore in the game. Adds a potion in the game which teaches the spells.

Release version of the game changed massively how tadpole powers work from early access, and a few powers were left out from the release version. Back in the early access version of the game, the tadpole powers were tied to the character class and were progressed with the Daisy dreams you saw during the game. This mod adds them back and keeps their functionality relatively same, editing only class-specific requirements (Rage, Wildshape costs) out so they could be used with any class. I tried to keep their functions the same and their balance, for example, the Aberrant shapeshift doesn't require a Wildshape, but can only be used once per short rest.


Potion of Tadpole Powers

This potion gives you all the tadpole powers from this mod, and isn't consumed on use. It is in the tutorial chest, and I have added compatibility with Item shipment framework.  The UUID to spawn it with consoles is : ba1c3999-f7a6-4a44-88e2-c67b09900319

Drink the potion to gain the powers. The powers are removed on respec, so you can drink the potion again to get the powers to your character(s) again.

Merchantless vs Merchant Versions explained

Install only one version!

The merhantless version doesn't sell any potions in the shops to avoid issues with uninstallation. This version requires other mods to aquire the potion, or console commands to spawn it.

The merchant version has the potions in set shops and doesn't require mods that rely on Script Extender, but might be impossible to be uninstalled from existing saves. See the list of merchants in the end of this description page.

Installation

Drop the EATAdpoles.pak under your C:\Users\(*User*)\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods and install it with BG3 Modmanager. I can't give promises it working for any other mod manager.

It shouldn't matter where you put this mod in the load order.

Needs ModFixer to work correctly.

Uninstallation

Respec your character to remove the spells from you, destroy all copies of the potion by attacking them, and save. Remove the EATAdpoles.pak from your mod load order, save the order and export the mod load order to the game. Optionally delete EATadpoles.pak permanently.

Note if you install the Merchant version, uninstallation might be impossible. With merchantless version it should work by destroying the potions.
