Maxed-Out Difficulty
A B&S mod that makes early-game difficulty similar to end-game difficulty but still keeps progression.

First and foremost, THIS MOD DOES NOT RAISE ENEMY HEALTH, nor does it lower player health. Changing the damage you take/give is already an option offered to you when you start Crystal Hunt, so mods that hard code changes health values are generally pointless. That said, I recommend hard mode or a custom difficulty for a more difficult experience. If archers are giving you trouble, buy some armor and learn to tactically position yourself while fighting.
Features
6 Enemy Wave Cap
  • A maximum of 6 enemies spawn at once during wave combat, instead of 4. This alone increases the difficulty by a surprising amount. May potentially be harder on your CPU.
Brain Replacement
  • Normally, AI difficulty has progression through harder factions. This removes AI difficulty progression and instead makes every faction have a very hard AI brain setting. It's one small step above the difficulty of The Eye's combat AI.
  • Just settings are tweaked, so Outlaws for instance won't be using new spells or weapons.
  • May conflict with other mods that change enemy brain files. Nothing bad will happen, but this mod will probably overwrite them all.
Progression Rebalance
  • Every outpost you get in Crystal Hunt will have difficulty similar to post-game. You will be able to see 3* and 4* difficulty outposts immediately.
  • Also gives a very small chance for The Eye and Eraden Army outposts to spawn at any point in progression.
  • Note, this will give you quite a bit more gold than normal, since you get more gold from higher difficulty outpost runs.
Accurate Archers
  • Alters the bow items to make enemies shoot with more accuracy. Only changes AI settings within the bow. Does not work on modded bows that enemies use. This is generally a subtle change but you will probably get hit more if you aren't careful.
Armored Enemies
  • Adds helmets to a few of the enemies in the Eraden Army and The Eye. Not new helmets, just makes enemies spawning without helmets less likely.
