How do I install this you must be asking me, well Jimothy it is simple:

1 - Download the mod. You can choose between the main version or the optional 2 skill points per level version. The intended way to play is the main file.
2 - Place the .zip file you downloaded inside the root of the Diablo II install directory. (By default it is C:/Program Files (x86)/Diablo II Resurrected)
3. Extract the .zip file using windows explorer or some other program such as 7zip.
3.a - Once extracted you should see a new folder "mods" if not created already. Inside the mods folder you should see a "Merged" folder. Inside the "Merged" folder you should see a "Merged.mpq" folder. Resulting path would be Diablo II Resurrected\mods\Merged\Merged.mpq
4 - Now create a desktop shortcut to D2R.exe by right-clicking -> create shortcut
5 - Right Click -> properties on the created shortcut and in the target "box" at the end put -mod Merged -txt
(like so)

Your folder structure is likely different, but only the:

Diablo II Resurrected\D2R.exe" -mod Merged -txt

Part matters.

* Over 1000 new unique and set items. Including charms. - Most of these come from Talonrage's wonderful mod.
* Nearly 1000 more cube recipes
* Many new crafting recipes - These come from both Talonrage, BetterSP, and some custom ones to our mod. Check out the website for information

1.17.2 - Terror Zone Fixes

* Fixes states.txt ids - Fixes the terrorized monsters showing as Izual/invisible (Thanks to @atzaman. for the find)
* Fixes double swing being in the incorrect slot on the skill tree
* Fixes the double throw skill description and calculations to properly scale


1.17.1- Gem Drop Update

* Updates version in-game to accurately reflect the version of the mod
* Updates gem drops to be in the usable format and not stacked. This was polled and now that the gem bag exists doesn't need to exist. You can still make gems stackable by cubing 3 of any of the same type and kind together

1.17.0 - Assassin Charge HUD - More Patch Adds - Various fixes

* Fixes necro summons & druid summons to use flying flag for collision instead of size. This should resolve missiles passing through them. Do note that this will cause them to walk over was is normally impassible space in some areas. Such as the Arcane Sanctuary
* Adds missing patches for monstats.txt from 2.4 -> 2.7
* Updates name of shaddowwarrior in pettype.txt
* add several skill and skilldesc patches from 2.4 -> 2.7
* add missing new entries for skillcalc.txt and skilldesc.txt
* Update group 18 -> group 19 for treasureclass entries for Ax, Bx, Cx entries
* Add in stacked in the name of stacked gems for clarity
* Adds in Forked version of D2R Lint to the project for finding and fixing issues within the txt files

* fix a bunch of duplicate Ids for levels resulting in missing strings for terror zones
* Adds the 2.7 data guide directly to the repository
* Updates the enhanced sounds to the latest version 2.51
* Adds a few missing itemstatcosts.txt entries from 2.7
