Rain of Fire in Elex 2 is so overpowered that it ruins the fun of the game.
This mod nerfs it so it does not one shot the strongest monsters in the game anymore.

Why I made this mod:
Rain of Fire in Elex 2 is so overpowered that it ruins the fun of the game. Once the skill is acquired mid game, it is possible to just walkthrough hordes of enemies with this spell, making all other progression systems obsolete. This gets even more drastic as the skill levels up with the player learning higher levels of the Flaming Bow spell.
This mod nerfs Rain of Fire, so it does not one shot the strongest monsters in the game anymore and keeps a better progression flow through later chapters.

The Goal:
The goal was to still be able to significantly hurt foes, without killing the strongest enemies with one cast. At the same time I wanted to make sure this spell can really only be used once per fight. I tested my changes on some really strong monsters, groups of monsters and in the dark towers.

The Changes:
Damage per second multiplier reduced to 20% of original value.
Spell duration reduced from 20 to 10 seconds.
Cooldown increased from 40 seconds to 80 seconds.
Mana cost increased to 100 Mana per spell.

The Result:
Rain of Fire is still the most powerful Berserker spell in the game but now it is fun to use, very destructive but not completeley overpowered. Players will be able to significantly change the outcome of a fight with it, but will in many cases need to rely on other spells and weapons to win.

Installation:
Works with both DX11 and DX12 version of the game.
Please just drop file into your ELEX2\data\packed folder.
