About this mod

Giant trees and plants all up in your grill!
This will increase the size of most of the plants in the game. I have uploaded multiple files for size choices with more to come.

UPDATE of 1 February 2024:
I have uploaded a completely redone version with all plants increased in size 25%. Should do a good job of meeting the criteria for both clipping/covering fixes and reducing system requirements. I plan on making +50% and +100% versions as well.

The initial plan was to focus on fixes for clipping and covering then switch over to making less intense versions, but given the fact I hadn't worked on it for years and the collision is baked into the levels and invisible, it became apparent pretty quickly that it would be far easier to just start over and when it did I figured, "Why not make a less intense version at the same time?"

A Note for my fellow mod authors:
I also managed to avoid an issue I had in the first version where pieces of levels disappeared and visible voids had to be covered up with extra foliage because I couldn't get them to stop. A word of advice for anyone having similar issues: Be very careful when editing maps in the "Regions" folder rather than the "Levels" folder and if you can help it at all I would recommend only editing levels and leave alone anything that says, "_F", "_Sea", "_Leadout" at the end of the name or has an unnecessary capital 'F' in the name. These levels are sometimes shared by multiple regions and editing the regions they are in can somehow sometimes cause the entire level to shift a large amount on a plane, giving you those large voids and refusing to stay put when you put them back. They will stay put in the editor but starting the modded game makes them displace themselves again. The only fix seems to be to overwrite the region with a backup.

UPDATE of 22 January 2024:
I have finally gotten time to start working on the some of (hopefully all eventually) the issues people have expressed in the posts.

My first focus and what I am currently working on is issues like the hero clipping through trees and the trees and other foliage covering chests and dig spots.

Once I have fixed everything I've been informed of and noticed in regards to clipping and covering, my 2nd focus will be creating less intense versions of the mod, with the 1st iteration being a cap on resizing of 2x. Some things are currently 5x. I am toying with the idea of other iterations like 1.5x and 3x. Please let me know if those ideas appeal to any of you.

I'm excited to finally be working on this again!

IMPORTANT UPDATE of 03 September 2023:
It's been 9 years since I've touched this mod.

It has taken me a while, and a lot of back and forth emailing from another account to Nexus (huge shout outs to the Nexus support team for putting up with my grumpy self and working with me to get this account back) but I was finally able to get back into this account, and it was worth it because I've had a lot of people comment here over the years and I wanted to respond to you all because even though I haven't worked on this mod recently I am blown away by how many unique DLs and endorsements it has gotten and I feel like I owe you all something.

The reason I stopped working on this mod is because it was created using the tools made available by Lionhead for the short while they supported the modding scene on this game. Once they went out of business that support of course dropped and the tools broke shortly after with no course of action to fix them. The 3rd party modding tools may be able to fix some things or I may have to start from scratch with different tools, but I want to at least try to address some of the problems mentioned by the community.

I have some real world stuff and some Youtube stuff I need to finish up before I start working on this and once I start work on it, it may still be some time before something is ready, but I will keep updating you all now that I have this account back. It is worth mentioning that I am not 100% sure what I did with the dev provided tools can be replicated or tweaked with other tools, but in the unfortunate event that they can't I will make sure I let you all know that as well.

Thank you so much for all the love this mod has gotten!

I will talk to you again soon,
Thank you,
Gorinox

What This Mod Does
This mod increases the size of about 90%(Purposely! The mod is 100% complete!) of Albions plants and trees.  Most plants in version 1.0 were doubled in size. Some were made larger(Mostly plants in the distance). Some were left alone because of their locations(Like ones in the middle of the path). I have also uploaded a less intense version (25% larger plantys). Rather than tweaking the files that belong to the plants and trees I decided to increase the size of each plant individually so I could ensure that there were no excessive clipping or floating object scenarios. I also did this to ensure that large plants and trees were not in areas where enemies and the player would walk through too often.

Bugs
I have not run into any problems so far.  If you have problems or see something that needs fixing, such as floating objects or excessive clipping, let me know (Tell me what region you were in when you saw the problem and what part of the region, meaning North, South, East, West, etc.)

Compatibility
This mod will likely not be compatible with any other mods that change the Map files since there is no way to merge individual files and whichever map is installed last will overwrite previous maps of the same name. This mod is fully compatible with all mods that do not change map files on the Nexus thus far.  I was actually using the "ENB and SweetFX" mod when I took the screenshots and I recommend doing the same because I think it pairs nicely with mine.

How to Install
After downloading my file and the "Fable Anniversary - Modding DLC"(The mod will not work without it!), open the zip file and move the "Maps" folder into your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\Content" directory.  When prompted, choose "Merge" for ALL folders and choose "Move and Replace" for ALL file conflicts.  For the mods to be used you must open your Steam Library, right-click Fable Anniversary and click "Launch Modded Game".  Make sure you make a backup of the original "Maps" folder.  Enjoy! :)

Uninstalling
Make sure you make a backup of the original "Maps" folder.  If you wish to uninstall this mod, you must overwrite it with the backup maps folder the same way you overwrite the original with the modded maps.  To play the Original game all you need to do is click the original shortcut that was created when you installed the game.

Note:
The yellow flowers in Bowerstone South, the pink bushes in Barrow Fields and the red flowers on the west side of Childhood Oakvale were intangible in the editor for some reason, therefore I was unable to tweak them, but it's hardly noticeable and the areas still look great in my opinion.
