Brews 1.4
This mod is similar to Craftable Perks, but it works with mods that extend perks, and it works with the vanilla game or any combination of DLC. Craftable Perks does not.
Brews adds beverages to the game that can permanently increase S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes or add or improve perks. They can be configured to be found in game and/or crafted.
There are 8 "brews" added to the game. The S.P.E.C.I.A.L. brew functions much like the You're SPECIAL book except that it optionally allows you to increase attributes past 10.
The 7 remaining brews - one for each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute - allow you to improve a perk associated with that attribute, like improving Iron Fist with the Strength Brew. Perks improved this way are either unlocked, locked to the SPECIAL requirement, or locked to the SPECIAL and level requirements depending on how you configure it.
If installed, the recipe for crafting the SPECIAL brew can be found at the raider camp just south of Outpost Zimonja.
If installed, the recipe for crafting the perk brews can be found at the Boston Public Library near one of the book return terminals.
Additionally the recipes are each sold by a major vendor.
COMPATIBILITY
This mod REQUIRES F4SE (The Fallout 4 Script Extender). This is necessary in order that this mod can work with other mods.
This mod should work regardless of load order, and it will work with mods that add additional perk ranks to existing perks or otherwise modify existing perks, but will not work with mods that completely replace perks with different perks. It uses script injection to add to leveled item lists so it should work with most mods that replace those as well.
This mod WILL work with High Level Perks (Full Edition) from 2.2 or later. It WILL NOT work with 2.1 or earlier. The reason is they already have brews in the game.
This mod WILL work with High Level Perks (Modular Edition) 2.2 or later. It will work with earlier versions so long as you do not select the built in brews in the High Level Perks mod.
