💬 INTRODUCTION
Other mods have done it but they all make bad design decisions. Replacing the sniper barrels, doing too little damage, not shooting faster than the automatic barrels, not removing stagger from the continuous beam, etc. And none of them add the continuous beam to the Laser Musket or Alien Blaster.
⚙️ WHAT THIS MOD DOES
This mod adds continuous laser barrels/receivers to the Lasergun, Institute Lasergun, Laser Musket & Alien Blaster. If you like the changes made
here, check out the full mod this is broken off from here. It covers all energy weapons and adds Burst fire, tri-beam lasers, ammo tweaks and more!
STATS
The Continuous Beams do 25% less damage than the Long Barrels. Which means they only do about 15.6% less damage than the short barrels. No Ammo capacity adjustments. They shoot 20% faster than the automatic barrels. Stagger is set to none for the Continuous beam so you can't keep an enemy stuck in your beam.
OPTIONAL AUTOMATIC DAMAGE BOOST & AMMO ADJUSTMENT
If you would like to boost the automatic barrels of the laser gun to do only 10% less damage than the long barrel instead of 25% less than the short, I recommend you download the optional file. It also reduces the ammo reduction for the automatic barrels from -9 to -4. So you'll have 26 shots instead of 21.
