A re-imagining (and much shorter) version of the second level of Halo: Combat Evolved, but in H3's engine.

A custom re-imagining of the second level of Halo: CE, but remade in Halo 3's engine.

This was sort of a little side-project when I was feeling nostalgic for Halo: Combat Evolved. Since I'd been doing so much converting of Halo 2 levels into Halo 3, I thought this would be a fun little map to build and convert. It's still in need of a little more polish and encounter tweaks, but I'd say it's pretty close to done.

Final version 1.0 release

- Added Cortana dialog, E419 dialog, adjust volume, triggers, etc.
- Custom "Halo CE" Ghost and Banshee replace H3 versions, using tweaked H3 models.
- Added Nav Points and HUD elements to direct players.
- Added cinematics at the start and end of the level.
- Added underground Forerunner facility.
- Added Forerunner walls that divide the level into sections.
- Adjusted encounters, added more diversity amongst Covenant(instead of just those in Vanilla CE)
- Added more weapons, including Concussion Rifle, Shock Pistol, DMR, Needle Rifle, and more!
- Added Skull that unlocks secret vehicles in the level.
- Added a few other easter eggs.
- Adjusted enemy and vehicle shield/health to compensate for the weapon additions and sandbox changes.
- Reworked the ground textures, decorators, and did a lot of general visuals upgrades.
- Adjusted the broken design file to fix invisible ceiling and water effects.
- Adjusted ambient sound, added wildlife, and tweaked bloom and lighting visuals.

TO-DO:
- Fix sharp texture-seam near Lifepod at Tower 2.
- Adjust Covenant spawns being mixed in with marines at Tower 3.
- Possibly adjust vehicle health up a bit.



V. 0.80:

- Minor tweaks to most Halo 3 vanilla weapons.
- Added DMR, Needle Rifle, Halo Reach Magnum, Skewer, and various other weapons from other Halo titles.
- Adjust HUD to use numbers instead of icons for most weapons (may revert later).
- Adjust AR weapon capacity to match Halo: CE variant.
- Added weapon bloom to several weapons, including: DMR, AR, Needle Rifle, and Reach Magnum.
- Added CE style Elites, using Halo 2 elites as a base.
- Needler rate-of-fire and fire-acceleration increased. Needler Ammo increased.
- Needler weapon model replaced with Infinite-style model.
- Plasma Pistol updated to use Halo: Infinite sound effects
- AR uses Halo CE sound effects (needs tweaking).
- Imported Reach, Infinite, H4, and H5 weapon sounds for appropriate weapons.
- Added "KER-THUNK" metallic sound from H4/H5 Fuel Rod Gun as a secondary sound effect when firing the weapon.
- Replaced Halo 3 Master Chief with Halo: CE version.
- Adjusted some of the seats and names on the markers for Tuning Fork Dropship(some still need to be fixed.)
- Added visible Health Bar back to HUD.
- Disabled automatic health regeneration. Added Health Packs to balance.
- Rate of Sniper Rifle increased closer to the Halo 2 version.
- Increased Spike Rifle's ROF and lowered projectile gravity to help it lock on better at close range.
- Tweaked and fixed DMR and Needle Rifle models.
- Recreated the crosshairs, including bloom, for several weapons from scratch(including DMR and Needle Rifle.)
- Created a red-colored "Banished" style Spirit Dropship for Brutes.
- Adjust Brute, Elite, Grunt, and Jackal health values.
- Created and imported Halo 4/5 Jackals and Grunts, using the Halo 3 bodies/armor---attempting to blend both art styles together.
- Imported ODST assets, including upgraded models for AI, and added a couple variants.
- ...and lots more I forgot about! ADHD sucks! :(
