This mod was greatly inspired from Risky Suicide Mission along with Miranda's Long Walk and Big Goddumn Hero.

Without these mods the idea of making this one, which basically adapts what these mods do towards the game's loyalty system wouldn't actually be possible.

Credits go to 55tumbl, CommanderShepardHere and Espadara for making these mods. I highly recommend checking them out as well.

There was one thing which bothered me about the suicide mission...

It's the fact that loyalty doesn't mean a thing most of the time when assigning squadmates as specialists or team leaders because they're not the right choice for the task.

And then you pick the wrong one and watch them die unexpectedly, which in my opinion feels like a slap to the face for your hard effort making them loyal if you play the game for the first time.

Some may ask, why exactly these squadmates are the right choices, where it could actually be debatable. Of course. There are reasons why Garrus and Miranda for example are the right choices for leading a squad. I don't intend to doubt that at all.

But what if you could have others take their place instead by having them take on tasks they would normally fail?

Then this mod may create a new perspective.

My first Mass Effect Legendary Edition DLC-Mod from which I never expected to go towards this direction for my first attempt will open up the possibility to ensure survival for unusual specialist/team leader choices.

Basically this mod extends the vanilla loyalty survival system by replacing the instant failure trigger for invalid choices with loyalty checks. Depending on if their loyalty was secured earlier or not will now affect their performance accordingly.

Everyone who is selectable as a specialist/team leader now gets the possibility to succeed in their assignments if they are loyal during the Infiltration and Long Walk Phase.

---

Changes to Infiltration

You can now pick Garrus, Mordin, Jacob and Thane as the Tech Specialist and have them survive their assignment if they are loyal and are accompanied by a loyal team leader besides Miranda, Jacob and Garrus (if not selected as tech specialist).

Yes, you read that right. Other squadmates are now also able to lead the infiltration squad besides Miranda, Jacob and Garrus and can succeed depending on their loyalty.

Who else wants to see Tali take the lead and protect Garrus for once? I do ;)

And if they are not loyal? Well, then they get the Tech Specialist killed since they aren't focused enough.

Reason being that during Infiltration Phase, the loyalty of the team leader is checked first. So if for example Grunt is chosen as team leader and isn't loyal, Garrus fails automatically if he is chosen as Tech Specialist regardless of his loyalty status.

---

Changes to The Long Walk

Want Jacob, Thane or Miranda to blast those collectors away with the biotic barrier during the Long Walk? No worries. If they are committed, they won't disappoint in their effort.

And I do admit that if Miranda is basically Miss Perfect, she should be able to prove it when she offers herself as Biotic Specialist and not fail instantly like in vanilla. As long as she is loyal.

Additional squadmates other than Garrus, Jacob and Miranda chosen as Team Leader during The Long Walk can now also survive automatically if they are loyal.

Keep in mind that during the Long Walk they will radio in and sound like they are in trouble but do not worry. You will see the appropriate result once you clear this part.

If they are not loyal, they die like in vanilla.

OPTIONAL: Changes to Hold The Line

With Version 1.1 of the mod the loyalty of your fellow squadmates can also be tested at the end.

The original system for Hold The Line is replaced with a more simplier system, which checks the loyalty status of squadmates only and kills off non-loyal squadmates same as for the final battle.

This gives you a little more control on who you want to survive until ME3 and introduces a certain amount of difficulty into the mix since this optional addon will require you to do ALL loyalty missions in order to have a perfect run. Choosing to not do a squadmate's loyalty mission will now always endanger them, no matter if you try to keep them out of harm's way or not.

However this will no longer make it possible to carry over non-loyal squadmates to LE3, since non-loyal squadmates will now always die sooner or later during the suicide mission with this optional addon installed.

This changed system however is optional. If you do not intend to use it and rather stick with the vanilla system for determining the ground team's final status, you can do so. You can decide to install the expansion during mod installlation or leave it disabled.

---

Only the Infiltration, Long Walk and optionallly the Hold The Line-Phase have been modified. The rest of the Suicide Mission remains unchanged.

This mod won't be compatible with any mod which changes these files

-BioD_EndGm2_190Conclusion.pcc
-BioD_EndGm2_300Conclusion.pcc

Miranda's Long Walk (Miranda is already included in this mod as a potential successful Biotic Specialist)
Big Goddumn Hero (Zaeed is already included in this mod as a potential successful Fireteam Leader)

This mod contains a modified version of BioD_EndGm2_300Conclusion.pcc from the Unofficial LE2 Patch. Installing the patch isn't required but recommended.
