This mod allows you to play as a squadmate in Mass Effect (1) Legendary Edition - any of the 6 included, as well as Jenkins! Note that this does not mean you play as Garrus and Shepard runs around as a squadmate - Shepard's model is effectively changed to Garrus', along with the inability to throw grenades - because Garrus doesn't have grenades! Non humanoids also lack a run animation - this might be possible to fix in a future update.
This mod uses the same trick as the original game's 'play as X' feature. It installs as a merge mod so it can be safely mixed with other mods.
Note that the character creator screen will still show the default characters. Choose the iconic one and you'll change into them once the game begins.
How to install You must use ME3Tweaks Mod Manager to install this mod. It cannot be installed manually. Drag and drop the archive onto the interface and either import and apply, or press install.
How to uninstall If you made a game backup in Mod Manager: Click Manage Target > Restore the SFXGame.pcc in the 'Modified basegame files' tab
If you didn't: Repair the game in either Origin or Steam
