It bothers me that the game acts as if not killing the mind-controlled is some kind of moral achievement.
As the stun gun (the most effective and efficient way of neutralizing humans), leaves the mind-controlled alive, and also somehow releases them from their bondage (despite not having any psychic effects and directly contradicting the Trevor Young plotline in the Trauma Center), rescuing mind-controlled humans proves to be incredibly easy and borderline the default.
This mod, with one simple change, should solve this problem to a large degree. You will now require the Mindjack ability or Nullwave Transmitters to save people - and if you're going for Human only, better hoard the latter.
