About this mod

This is a very simple extension that takes the list of mods that Vortex currently has and writes them to a file. It then allows you to take that file and Restore your list of mods, making Vortex download them again as if you'd downloaded them from the Nexus Website.

How do I use this?
Go to your mods tab and you should see a "Modlist" button in the top menu. If you click on that, you'll see three options: "Modlist Backup: Restore", "Modlist Backup All Games" and "Modlist Backup Only This Game". To back up your mods, click either the "Modlist Backup All Games" or "Modlist backup Only This Game". This will open up a save file window that asks you to open a file, but instead of opening an existing file you want to save to one that doesn't exist yet. Do this by going to the bottom bar where there's a text box for "File name:" and enter a new name. This should be the name of a file that doesn't already exist, and it's where your mod list will be saved. For example, type in "Modlist.txt" or "Mods.json". Then click open. A popup should then ask you if you want to create this file, select yes.

To restore, select "Modlist Backup: Restore", navigate to that file that you saved previously and open it. It will only restore the mods for the currently active game, even if the modlist you created has multiple games in it

Important Note
A recent version of Vortex fixes a bug that in turn stopped this mod from being able to Restore modlists. If you're unable to restore your modlist, please update this mod to Version 0.3.0 or newer and try again

What does this do?
This is a very simple extension that takes the list of mods that Vortex currently has and writes them to a file. It then allows you to take that file and Restore your list of mods, making Vortex download them again as if you'd downloaded them from the Nexus Website.

Does this backup Mod Configs, Load Order, Dependencies Etc.
No, this is a simple and rather dumb extension that just backs up the list of mods

Does it back up the mod files
No, this only stores list of mods. When you Restore the list, Vortex will download every mod on the list

Are there any requirements
You need to be a premium member on the Nexus site to Restore the list, since the Vortex client won't let you download the mods automatically unless you're a premium member, since you need to see the ads.

I have a lot of mods, the extension said they were installed but I don't see anything happening
Due to how rate limiting on Nexus server works, larger lists of mods it takes some time for all the requests to install to go to the Nexus website. The more mods you have, the more time Vortex puts between each request to the server. Go make a cup of coffee, watch a video, come back later. There's nothing this mod can do to speed it up and I can't tell you how long it will take, but it should be working it's way through to hopefully be adding them to your downloads. If it's not there in half an hour or an hour then something may be broken and you can ping me directly on Discord or Github and I'll take a look
