Mysticism Spell Cast Time Adjustments

Mysticism - A Magic Overhaul Changes a lot of the spell cast times. It lacks consistency as often similar spells will have different cast times. In Mysticism the default cast time is 1 second. In vanilla the default cast time is 0.5 seconds. This mod reduces the 1 second cast times back to 0.5 seconds.

This is especially useful when using Apocalypse wih Mysticism as Apocalypse spells end up being more powerful than Mysticism due to their reduced cast times - allowing you to spam more spells. This leads to a situation where you avoid using Mysticism spells in favour of Apocalypse ones.

What is a spell cast time?

It is the length of time you have to hold down your mouse/controller button before a spell can be cast.

Is this compatible with my other magic mods?

Yes. Unless it conflicts with Mysticism like Odin does. This mod is fully compatible with Apocalypse.

What are the new cast times?

0.5 seconds, same as vanilla. Mysticism increases most cast times to 1
second but I haven't been able to identify the logic behind this
decision. It doesn't apply to all spells which makes it nearly
impossible to have the spells in your muscle memory.

What about the optional spells?

Mysticism has some optional survival spells and jump spells. I have not touched these.

Mysticism adds lots of non-vanilla spells too. What about those?

If they had a 1 second cast time then they have been brought in line with the 0.5 second cast vanilla spells.

Which spells does this touch?

Any spell that previously had a 1 second cast time now has a 0.5 second cast time.

Does it change scrolls?

No. Only spells.

Can I install mid-playthrough?

It is safe to install and remove during a playthrough.
