Changelogs
Some fights in Legacy of the Dragonborn seem to be heavily stacked against you if you are used to the balancing of vanilla Skyrim where basic mobs are rarely above you. The Alik'r mercenaries from the heist quest are a great example; they will always be higher level than you and especially in the final showdown can easily overpower you unless your build is sufficiently min-maxed to handle unfair fights.

This mod aims to change that by providing a more vanilla feel to the enemies by providing a level cap and lowering the level scaling for most mob-type enemies close to what is found in regular Skyrim. Below is a more comprehensive list of changes and design choices.

  • Alik'r
-Warriors have been introduced a level cap of 44 and level scaling reduced to 1.0 (from 1.2) [Vanilla uses levelled variants with 44 being the highest]
-Brigand Leaders have been introduced a level cap of 50 and level scaling reduced to 1.2 (from 1.3) [Values used by Kematu]
-Jelal's level has been lowered to 60 (from 85) [Jelal should be strong but 85 seems a bit high from the Brigand Leader maximum of 50]
  • Syndra (Hagraven in the Shadows of One's Past)
-Removed scaling for a static level of 20 [Engelmann's rest can be visited before the quest and features two other unique hagravens that have the vanilla level of 20]
  • Giant Spiders in Mzulft storeroom
-Broodlings have been introduced a level cap of 5 [Why should shin-length spiders grow to potentially level 33+?]
-Regular sized has been introduced a level cap of 20 [Slightly higher than the vanilla level of giant spiders]
  • Ezra
-Introduced a level cap of 100 [Same as Argus]
  • Frost Monarch
-Introduced a static level of 32 [Twice the level of the Ancient Frost Atronach from Dawnguard]
  • Pale Pass
-Soldiers have been given a level cap of 10 and level scaling has been reduced to 0.3 [Slightly stronger than vanilla, prominent warzone]
-Commanders have been introduced a level cap of 30 [same as Rikke and Galmar]
-Jailor has been introduced a level cap of 30 [same as Ahtar]
  • Morag Tong
-Mobs have been introduced a level cap of 25 [Highest levelled variant in vanilla]
-Lieutenants have been introduced a level cap of 60 and level scaling reduced to 1.0 (from 1.1) [Values from Vendil Severin]
-Camorac Drelis (boss of Raven's Rest) has been introduced a level cap of 70 and level scaling reduced to 1.0 (from 1.25) [Values from Ildari Sarothril]
  • Sancre Tor
-Ancient Bones in Sealed Halls have a reduced level cap of 40 (from 100) [Draugr max level]
  • Ruins of Rkund - Karagas's Maze
-Skeletons have been lowered to the level of 1 (from scaled) [Unimmersive when my skeletons in my skyrim dont die in a single hit]
  • Other bosses have been left untouched due to their solo encounter nature
  • Other mobs have been left untouched due to similar enough scaling to vanilla enemies of the same nature.
  • Friendly NPCs have been left untouched. This mod is easy mode in a practical sense, why would I nerf allies?
