About this mod

A simple mod that aims to make the named Dragons tougher opponents by increasing their level multiplier and Hit Points, effectively making their boss fights last longer. ESL-Flagged.

Permissions and credits
Guess we're all familiar with the 8 unique Dragons that received a name in Skyrim and Dawnguard, like Mirmulnir, but their boss fights didn't seem any different than the average dragon's, right?
The fact that they have names makes them seem like they're meant to make a slight impact on the story. I personally think of them as Alduin's top leutenients, so following that logic I thought that their boss fights should at least be more lasting.
So what this mod aims to do is making those specific dragons' boss fight a bit more lasting by giving them a slightly higher level multiplier and a greater amount of hit points. There're also two separate files for Durnehviir (boss fight only) and Alduin (both boss fights) respecively in case you use specific overhauls, but even so the main conflict shouldn't cause any conflict with them (more in the FAQ). Nothing else to mention and the rest of the vanilla dragons are unaffected.

Stats:
  • Mirmulnir: Level 1.10 higher than the player's. Over 2500 HP
  • Sahloknir: Level 1.15 higher than the player's. Over 3000 HP
  • Vuljotnaak: Level 1.15 higher than the player's. Over 3000 HP
  • Nahagliiv: Level 1.15 higher than the player's. Over 3000 HP
  • Viinturuth: Level 1.20 higher than the player's. Over 3000 HP
  • Vulthuryol: Level 1.50 higher than the player's. Over 4000 HP
  • Voslaarum: Level 1.20 higher than the player's. Over 4000 HP
  • Naaslaarum: Level 1.20 higher than the player's. Over 4000 HP
  • Durnehviir: Level 1.30 higher than the player's. Over 4000 HP  (boss fight only; doesn't affect summoned version. They're different actors)
  • Krosulhah: Level 1.25 higher than the player's. Over 4000 HP
  • Alduin (Alduin's Bane): Level 1.50 higher than the player's. Over 5500 HP
  • Paarturnax: Level 1.50 higher than the player's. Over 5500 HP

(Presumably) Frequently Asked Questions:
I dunno, nobody asked these yet but just in case.

1 - The levels aren't being changed
That's because you have to put them at the bottom of your load order.

2 - Wait, what about Odahviing?
Well... When you fight Odahviing you only want to capture him and Dragonsreach as the stage doesn't allow it to be an interesting battle, so I figured that people would want his fight to be over as quickly as possible. But if I'm wrong and you really want me to, I can make a separate file for him.

3 - And what about the Dragons from Dragonborn?
Pretty much the same reason why Odahviing doesn't have one. The only one that attacks you is immediately submitted by your Bend Will shout and then becomes Miraak's emergency food like the other two, so I didn't think I should bother. If you want me to I can make a file for them too, but I don't think it's worth it tbh.

Update - you do fight Krosulhah, so he is included in the pack.

4 - Will this Mod conflict with mods that affect Dragon behavior/aspect?
Not at all! As long as they don't alter their stats I'd dare say it's a pretty good match!

Update - It does conflict with Durnehviir - God of Death, preventing him from using some of his abilities, so I made a separate file that excludes him so that you can use both mods.

5 - Okay, but what if my Mod does alter their stats? ¿Will it cause conflict?
"Conflict" is a strong word. Rather, it will add numbers. Ergo, the HP of these dragons will be even higher.

6 - So if a Mod that increases the stats of *every* dragon in the game already exists why do I want yours?
I can think of two reasons:
  • Maybe you don't want *every* Dragon to take long to beat. Maybe you're like me and want to highlight only the ones that are directly involved in the main quest.
  • Maybe you want *every* Dragon to take long to beat BUT you want these guys to take even longer. Well, go nuts!

7 - Do you know what you're (al)doing?
Okay, this Mod a bit experimental, not gonna lie, but as far as I tested it went pretty well. I already tested with another Mod I made that only affects Alduin and Durnehviir.

8 - Why did you make a copy of a Mod that you already made?
No, rather than a copy, it's the actual experimental version of this mod. Actually, the Alduin and Durnehviir of that Mod are stronger.

9 - Also, ¿"(al)doing"? ¿Seriously?
What? It's a good pun!

10 - No, it was terrible.
Oh, who am I kidding? You're probably right...

11 - Dude these last three questions have nothing to do with the mod! Why are we having a convesration?!
I'm so lonely... :(
