DESCRIPTION:
Something that has always bugged me about Skyrim is its food recipes. How do you use an entire sack of flour and a whole jug of milk just to make one sweetroll? Why does everything require salt? Why can you not make certain foods? This mod does the following to fix these things:
-The amount of food you get from a number of recipes has been altered to be more logical. Cooking a mammoth snout will now yield three steaks, the recipe for sweetrolls now gives you 4 instead of 1, etc.
-Certain ingredients have been added and/or removed from recipes. Most recipes besides certain baked goods no longer require salt, inconsistent bread recipes have been modified, sweetrolls require honey, etc.
-Since output yield is higher, certain recipes now require more of a specific ingredient, so lavender dumplings require 2 lavender since you get 3 dumplings, as an example.
-Missing recipes for various foods have been added. A recipe for the USSEP meat pie has also been added.
Inspired by Immersive Ingestibles, this mod also adds the following food items to the game:
-Baked Ash Yam.
-Steamed Ash Hopper Meat.
-Steamed Ash Hopper Leg.
-Steamed Clam Meat.
-Stewed Squash.
-Boiled egg.
These items can be crafted at cooking pots with the appropriate ingredients or found throughout the world. (DLC items are only found where they'd make sense, don't worry.) Survival mode keywords are included in the new food items.
I have also tweaked the distribution of Dragonborn food for better consistency.
There is an optional addon available that allows you to brew beverages by using the brewing casks at the backs of inns. This addon requires Base Object Swapper.
INSTALLATION:
Install with MO2 or Vortex.
COMPATIBILITY:
May conflict with other food related mods, mainly if they add recipes for the things already included in this mod. Just remove them from the other mods in SSEEdit if this is the case. I made a patch for Elegy and the full version of this mod, however I am unlikely to make patches for other mods I don't use. If users make a patch for another mod I will upload it here with full credit.
LOAD ORDER:
Load near food related mods.
Plugins are all ESL flagged and won't take up slots in your load order.
