OVERVIEW
I love the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. But ever feel like the Dwemer Compass you acquire could be more immersive? The way you choose a destination and just teleport there immediately with no effect or evidence that anything magical took place? Almost feels like you just entered a console command to appear somewhere else? Well worry no more. This mod adds teleportation visual and audio effects to your wonderful device.
The timing, visuals, and audio of this effect have been fine tuned to be immersive and satisfying. Works in both 1st and 3rd person.
Additionally, this mod also cleans up some functionality of the Dwemer Compass menu, using more concise language in its prompts and ensuring the menu does not close prematurely.

SPECIFIC CHANGES
Exact changes to dbm_compassscript functionality are as follows:
- Teleport function has been added which initiates the teleport visual and sound effects. This function fires every time the compass is used for fast travel.
Exact changes to the menu are as follows:
- Empty Travel Location slots now say "None" instead of nothing.
- Travel waypoints made in miscellaneous locations rather than ones with given names now read “Wilderness” instead of nothing.
- All "Back" buttons now properly go back in the Compass menu, rather than automatically closing the menu.
- When selecting travel location or checking travel headings, message box text has been made more concise.
New Ex: "Would you like to travel to 1: Whiterun, 2: Windhelm, or 3: Wilderness ?"
COMPATIBILITY
- Requires Legacy of the Dragonborn.
- Should be no mod conflicts. Mod only affects the Dwemer compass script and includes its own textures with no overwrites.
INSTALLATION
TO INSTALL WITH MOD ORGANIZER:
-Download and install Legacy of the Dragonborn by icecreamassassin.
-Install this mod and place its plugin lower than Legacy of the Dragonborn on your right pane.
TO INSTALL WITH OTHER MOD MANAGER:
-Download and install Legacy of the Dragonborn by icecreamassassin.
-Install this mod. Make sure its plugin has higher priority than LegacyoftheDragonborn.esp
UNINSTALLATION
TO UNINSTALL WITH MOD ORGANIZER:
Simply untick this mod in the left pane, or delete its entire folder.
TO UNINSTALL WITH OTHER MOD MANAGER:
Simply uninstall or delete the mod.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- I recommend downloading Legacy of The Dragonborn - Dwemer Compass Replacer to greatly improve the look of the compass itself.
- I recommend downloading Better Message Box Controls for more intuitive control of the Compass Interface, or a UI mod that includes similar changes, like Nordic UI or Dear Diary.
