About this mod

This mod aims to make food items play a bigger part in the game by editing their effects, making them more worthwhile and versatile. Basically, gives you reasons to want to carry around food.

The amount of Food items has expanded dramatically with the Anniversary Edition additions of Creation Club content. This mod incorporates new food added with that content as well. To be clear: you don't need the Anniversary Edition, this mod will work with the Skyrim Special Edition game without Anniversary Edition installed. If you do have the Anniversary Edition, the mod should also work with it installed. Latest Skyrim Special Edition version at time of creation: 1.6.640.

What does it do?

This mod makes non-quest-related generic food items weightless (since you'll want to carry around most or all food you come across) and makes their effects more focused and powerful, so that using food can be useful alongside using potions. Think of food as another way of restoring and fortifying Health, Magicka and Stamina. A few food items now also cure disease and give resistances.

If you want more information on what I changed in which ways, and how you could make this mod yourself, check out the text file under optional files in the Files tab, where I detail the changes I made.

This mod also makes it so Honey spawns in bee hives, and allows 0-2 Jug(s) of Milk, 0-2 Butter(s), 0-2 Salmon Roe and 0-2 Hawk's Egg(s) to spawn in appropriate containers.

Other stuff to consider:

Since a lot of base game recipes require salt, if you're going to be investing in cooking more, I would advise getting mods that either change the recipes or add more ways to get salt in the game in order to make more use of the cooking system.

Alchemy ingredients are not included, only food items.
