Welcome to Cornucopia, a mod collection aimed at expanding crops, trees, artisan goods, recipes, and more, all in the spirit of vanilla!


Cornucopia - Artisan Machines is a reimagining of PPJA Artisan Valley's foundations, fully rewritten for 1.6 with a refreshing spin and lovingly updated artwork from Mizu and 6480!

What you can find in this mod:

• 10 new artisan machines, for a variety of playstyles!
• 80+ new artisan goods from vanilla and custom machines
• 4 new special orders and charming events
• Vanilla-style balance designed with both Automate and non-Automate users in mind
  

Artisan Machines has some unique items if playing with Cornucopia - More Crops, but it is not required! You can use Artisan Machines with an entirely vanilla crop roster, or use it with other amazing crop mods such as Wildflour's Forager, Bonster's Crops, Quaint Living 2, and more!

This is a brief overview of the configuration options included in this mod. We recommend using Generic Mod Config Menu to configure your mod.

This mod automatically detects the configuration selections you make in other Cornucopia mods, which will effect the available artisan goods in this mod. That said, there are several optional configurations which improve or expand the experience. 

Enable Vinegar Keg (true by default): Adds a smaller keg which can turn grapes, apples, and unmilled rice into vinegar.
Enable Juicer (true by default): Adds a machine specifically for making juice, from fruits and vegetables.
Enable Vegetable Wine (false by default): Allows vegetable wine to come from the keg (only if you have the juicer enabled). Vegetable juice will still come from the juicer.
Enable Vanilla Recipe Changes (true by default): Replaces a few vanilla recipe ingredients to use versions from Cornucopia (such as using Coconut Milk instead of Coconut).
Enable Flexible Recipes (true by default): Allows using alternative cheese, including goat cheese and plant-based cheese, in vanilla recipes that use cheese. Also allows using plant-based milks in vanilla recipes that use milk. Only works if you have SpaceCore installed.

1. Install SMAPI
2. Install Content Patcher and Extra Machine Configs
3. (Optional) Install Generic Mod Config Menu and SpaceCore for some bonus features
4. Download the main .zip file from this mod and install it the same way you installed the other mods
5. When starting up the game for the first time, use Generic Mod Config Menu to choose which options you want to turn on or off.
You're ready to play!

To remove this mod, you can just delete it from your mod folder. Any items still left in your save file will safely be left behind as error items, which can be thrown away.

Deleted it by accident? No problem! Just reinstall the mod, and your error items will become normal items again. It's that easy!
Q: Is Cornucopia a sequel to PPJA?
A  While some of our artisan machines and goods may be familiar to users of PPJA, both mods are actually based on MizuJakkaru's original sprites for SDV, back in the days of xnb modding. As such, there may be many differences in content, as they're two different spins on the same foundation. If you're interested in seeing what exactly is included, check out our informational spreadsheet!

Q: Is Cornucopia compatible with [insert mod here]?
A: Thanks to improvements in mod compatibility over the years, Cornucopia is technically compatible with any other mod, even those that add the same items. However, you may have different versions of the same items if you have multiple artisan goods mods installed. Check out the Compatibility section below for more info.

Q: Do I need to download all the Cornucopia mods?
A: Not at all! In fact, any of the Cornucopia mods can be played with entirely by themselves. We do not have any required Cornucopia mods. If you like having more cooking recipes or machine goods, but you don't like having more crops, you are welcome to download just those mods!

Q: Can I help out?
A: We are always looking for translations, feedback, suggestions, and bug reports! Please leave a comment, join our Discord, or reach out via DM if you want to get in touch.

• Lookup Anything - Full lookup compatibility (Huge thanks to zombifier and Pathoschild for updating LA!). Consider using Lookup Anything if you find yourself confused by certain machine items.
• Automate - Fully works except for custom mill items. Manually place items in the mill for now.
• Junimatic - Partial compat, works for most machines except the custom mayo machine items and yogurt jar.
• Wildflour Atelier Goods - No known clashes, but you may have some duplicate items based on which WAG mods you have installed. They won't cause any issues! Just be sure to read our separate guides to know how to use them.
• Animal Husbandry - You can smoke Animal Husbandry meat items!
• More Sensible Juices - By default, you can use both mods fine with no issues. However if you would prefer not to have two juicer machines, you can turn off the setting Enable Juicer in the config menu.
  

In general, Cornucopia - Artisan Machines should be able to work with custom items of any generic category, such as fruits, vegetables, and flowers. There are additional specific categories such as herbs, cheese, or plant milks that a mod author may want to tag.
