About this mod

FINALLY fixes the annoying automatic weapon sound loop on ballistics weapons

This is not currently working with weapon sound mods. This only fixes the vanilla firing sounds. But they do sound literally a million times better.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
I have spent hours upon hours familiarizing myself with xEdit to fix this problem that has been plaguing our precious weapon sounds.

This only affects the automatic and burst fire of automatic ballistics weapons (not lasers, particle or em weapons| they sound terrible with this fix)

This applies to each weapon's standard, high power, and suppressed variants as well.

I'll look into automatic and burst fire for pistols and shotguns if there is a need for it as I haven't tested it.
Let me know if that's something that needs addressing!

Sound Comparison

- First you will need Plugins.txt Enabler and SFSE

- Then make sure you enable hidden items which is located under:
View (next to the sort dropdown menu), show >, hidden items

- Install with the instructions from the two mods and then make sure you create a text file named Plugins.txt file in:
C://your username/appdata/local/starfield

- In your Plugins.txt file enter the name of my .esm file (and all future .esm mods you download) with an asterisk before it, it should look like this:

AutomaticWeaponFireFix .esm (without the spaces)

- Drop my .esm file into the root data folder of your starfield install:
C://steam/steamapps/common/starfield/data

DO NOT
use the old method of adding sTestFile1-10blahblahblah.esp to your StarfieldCustoms.ini file;

This has a high potential to break your saves and is volatile & unpredictable

I have thoroughly tested all the weapons and they appear to be in working order, but as always make a backup of your saves before using any new mods!

This should also work with any mod that doesn't affect the values that change what type of sound these weapons use. So any mod that changes weapon mod values, rate of fire, etc should work just fine.

FOR THE FUTURE:

I will not be updating my mods as Starfield gets new updates. I unfortunately do not have the passion for the game as I once did.

With the release of the CK I don't want to keep them locked down and not let anyone keep going what I started.
Anyone who wants to update them, fix them, improve them or do anything they want with my assets or xEdit mods can absolutely do so.

I only ask that you please credit me as the original creator.

And you can absolutely get your hard earned DP too :)

Massive thank you to ElminsterAU and the entire xEdit team

Currently known issues:

- Does NOT work with other weapon sounds mods. The game uses different sound id's for the semi-auto weapon fires rather than the auto weapon fire id's.
I'm actively looking into this to fix it.
