What this?

My current list of patches for my personal set of survival addons. This includes for now Simple NeedsDeadly Hazards and Starvival, aside from other small tweaks. The workbench object allows you to build the Simple Needs config item, and the timescaler is the current setup of timescale I am using since a week or so.

How to install?

You will need Plugins.txt enabler!

According to the devs of popular Mod Managers you basically just need to drag&drop the download to the manager's interface, and chose the files you want to install.

For a manual installation:

1. install the plugins.txt enabler according to instructions
2. unzip the download
3. move the files of your choice to Starfield/Data
4. add the exact name of the files(including file extension) to your plugins.txt
5. make sure to load/sort the patches AFTER any of the mods that are patched

Made with experimental version of xEdit, so mind the risk and follow recommendations of the xEdit team.

What is conflicting?

Refer to screenshots. Simple Needs has virtually no conflicting potential, and is configurable in the game. And of course according to its title, it does what it says, ONLY adding needs.

Nothing much. DH and SV had some minor ENV_affliction collisions. I favored DH because according to the changes you do not want to have afflictions working the vanilla, respectively SV way. Sale of Substances had a minor ingestible conflict with the Aurora chem. I kept the prizing only from SoS, the rest is SV.

The other two patches are basically an extraction from my hardcore tweak mod only patched in into DH and SV respectively.

The Timescale plugin is the timescale setup I'm currently playing with: ground: 6, space: 2. With this setup I have to roughly sleep every 16 hours, eat every 4-6 hours, and drink every 2-4 hours. I moved from using Starvival to Simple Needs because I feel it's much more robust, and doesn't really compete with Deadly Hazards. In fact it harmonizes with it very well.

Any other recommendations?

If you don't use the timescale tweak, and still can't manage to make things work, try fiddling with timescale in console. Put this into an autoexec.bat or enter in console:

SetGS "fCalendarTimeScaleGround" 6
SetGS "fCalendarTimeScaleSpace" 2

Default is 15 for ground, and 5 for space. Old games consensus is 6 for both to not break your game. I'm using 6/2. Make sure to keep the ratio intact 15/5, translates to 3/1, translates to 6/2, translates to 9/3 etc. Also make sure to not apply the timescale in float form. Use full numbers only because of engine burden reasons. In my experience with Realistic Needs 2.0 you absolutely do not want the engine to calculate against decimal numbers.

I want to report a bug/request patching!
