About this mod

Whether to wear a spacesuit and helmet within a simple click, now is your call.

Intro:
The vanilla "Hide Spacesuit and Helmet" function is great, but sometimes it fails to show the spacesuit and helmet back when the player enters an uninhabitable area. This mod gives you a toolkit that can be called from the Favorite menu, and automatically equip/unequip your current spacesuit. Whether to wear a spacesuit and helmet, now is your call.

Installation:
Automatic Installation:
Install with Mod Organizer 2 / Vortex.

Manual Installation:
1. Download the mod.
2. Extract the archive using 7zip or Winrar.
3. Copy and paste the files in the "Data" folder. (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data)

To add the mod to the Plugins.txt file, you will need to install the Plugins.txt Enabler mod (follow the instructions on the mod page).

Once you have these prerequisites, open the "plugins.txt" file (located at C:\Users<Your Username>\AppData\Local\Starfield\Plugins.txt) and add the following line to the end of the list (Don't forget the asterisk!):

*FastSpacesuitToggle.esm

Usage:

Once load the mod, go straight to Laredo Firearms located at the Akila City, on the front counter, you can see the Fast Spacesuit Deployment Kit. Pick it up, in your inventory, go to Aid category, and add it to one of your Favorite slots. Whenever you press that hotkey, it will equip/unequip your current spacesuit. If you are wearing a spacesuit, it will remember them when unequipping, so the next time you use the item, it will equip back exactly the last spacesuits you had in your inventory. Nothing will happen if you are not wearing spacesuits or after the last unequipping, you take the spacesuit out of your inventory.

Compatibility:
This mod works for all vanilla spacesuits. Unfortunately, mod-added spacesuits are not directly supported due to a key papyrus function has not yet been added by SFSE (or maybe I'm too rookie to find another function). However the patch is really easy (but still you need to learn xEdit) to make, just add your mod spacesuit FormID into my mod's FormID List "FSST_SpacesuitAllList [FLST: xx000807]" then it's all done.
