The core of this mod adds a new type of spacesuit modification, exclusively available for the Constellation Spacesuit, called "Nameplate". It allows you to add a custom name badge to your Constellation spacesuit, matching the nameplates found on each of the Constellation companions' spacesuits.

You can add a nameplate to your Constellation spacesuit at a Spacesuit Workbench, where it will appear in the workbench UI just under skins. Nameplates function completely independently of skins, meaning you can use both a custom skin and a custom nameplate on your spacesuit at once.

The core file simply functions as a framework that adds the Nameplate modification type to the Constellation Spacesuit and Spacesuit Workbench. In order to apply a custom name to your spacesuit, you'll need to either download one of the sample files I've provided, or create your own.

I've included two sample files for this mod: one for a "Captain" nameplate, and one for a "Dusty" nameplate. I can add more samples using ambiguous lore-friendly names if enough people request them. As much as I would like to, I don't think it's feasible to take specific, personalized requests on a mod like this.

Creating your own custom nameplate for this mod is done in almost exactly the same way as creating a custom weapon or spacesuit skin - using AVM Data. Instead of using the skin keyword as the attach point, you'd use the nameplate keyword provided by this mod. For anyone interested in creating their own nameplate, I encourage you to use my samples for reference or the template file as a starting point. Depending on how well this mod is received, I can make a more in-depth tutorial for creating your own.



The core file of this mod is required as a framework for any custom nameplates you may download or create. It does not include any nameplates in itself.

To use the nameplate samples I've provided, download them in addition to the core file and they will appear in the Spacesuit Workbench as optional modifications. You do not need to download both samples for either to work.

Please install using a mod manager. I personally use (and highly recommend) Mod Organizer 2.
You can, of course, install this mod manually or with Vortex if either are your preference and you know how.


The nameplate workbench modification type is at this time only available for the Constellation Spacesuit. Currently, adding other types of spacesuits is far outside the scope of what I want to do with this mod.

The only vanilla record edited by this mod is the Constellation Spacesuit [ARMO:001E2B18]. It modifies its models, attach parent slots, and its combination #0 object template.


So excited to get this out! I think this was the first mod idea I had. I've been working on this for months, over many iterations, trying to implement what it does juuuust right. I finally got it to a state I'm proud of and am willing to share. Hope you like it!!
