Info:
This Reshade pack contains 4 presets: Neutral, Neutral+, Vibrant and Vibrant+. Presets adjust contrast, sharpness and color balance creating brighter highlights, deeper shadows and better lighting effects. Plus versions enhance shadows and highlights even more.
Previously HQAA anti-aliasing filter was included but because Vermintide 2 now supports new anti-aliasing methods, this was dropped.

Included filters:
  • AMD FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening: Makes the game more sharper. If the game looks too sharp for you, lower these settings.
  • MagicBloom: Adds a bit more bloom around bright objects.
  • AmbientLight: Ambient light shader. Change alInt setting if you want to tweak it.
  • LUT: Adjusts colors and brightness. If you want to keep game's original colors, decrease chroma. If you want to make midtones brighter, decrease luma.
  • Clarity2: Gives highlights some extra brigtness and detail.
  • Deband: Removes color banding if there is any.
  • FGFX Large Scale Perceptual Obscurance Irradiance: Adds shadows and highlights.

Versions:
Version 1.0
  • First release
Version 1.1
  • Now contains neutral and vibrant presets.
Version 1.2
  • LUT fine-tuning.
  • Added HQAA (Hybrid High-Quality Anti Aliasing, a mix of FXAA, SMAA and Contrast adaptive sharpening).
Version 1.3
  • HQAA anti-aliasing removed.
  • Two new presets with LSPOIrr filter.

Installation:
Step 1: Adjust the game gamma before using presets.

Step 2: Install Reshade (These instructions are for version 5.9.2).
  • Download Reshade installer from reshade.me and run it.
  • Select a game or application: Select 'Vermintide 2 | DX11' or 'Vermintide 2 | DX12' from the list and click 'Next'.
  • Select the rendering API: Choose 'DirectX 10/11/12' and click 'Next'.
  • Select preset to install: Click 'Skip'.
  • Select effect package to install: Choose whatever you want. Standard effects are required for this mod. Click 'Next'.
  • Close the installer.
  • Note: Reshade does not alter any game files. It just adds few files to your Vermintide folder. If you want to uninstall it, just run the installer again, choose the game and click 'Uninstall'.

Step 3: Install the preset:
  • Download my preset.
  • Open the zip archive and extract all files to Vermintide 2 binaries folder. Default for DX11 is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries'. DX12 is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12'.

Step 4: Configure Reshade:
  • Start the game. You should see a message 'Reshade is installed succesfully'. Press 'Home' to start the tutorial'. So go ahead and press 'Home'.
  • You should now see a Reshade overlay. Click 'Skip tutorial'.
  • Home tab should now be active. Click the arrow on the top of the screen and the preset name should change to 'Darker Times -Neutral'. Use arrows to change the preset (Neutral/Vibrant).
  • Go to the settings tab, select 'Effect toggle key' and press 'End'. Now you can use End key to disable/enable Reshade effects while in the game.
  • Press 'Home' to close the overlay.
  • And if you are using game's own sharpening effect now it's a good time to disable it.
