A set of autosnap hairs based on some of my original characters.

After months of trial & error (and many, many distractions), I have released my very own hair mod!

These hairs were frankensteined together using parts from vanilla hairs in order to resemble some of my OCs! All of them are autosnap and are available for any body type/race, including custom races*! The power of CCSharedVisuals + Races.lsx! The only real downside, in my opinion at least, is that it makes it incompatible with other mods that edit Races.lsx, BUT, that's why we have things like Padme's Patches for CC Mods.

As of version 1.2.0, I've decided to remove the Compatibility Framework requirement since it only really works for making the mod cooperate with other hair mods that use CF, which as far as I can tell is just my hairs extensions mod. Also, CF has been hidden on Nexus anyway and even though it is still available on GitHub, a lot of people seem to have a hard time taking the extra step(s) of downloading things outside of Nexus.

* = Any custom race that uses the Humanoid, Fey, Celestial, or Fiend tag (as of version 1.1.0).

Some Notes:

  • The accessories on the "Cadmus" and "Princess Itheel" hairs may turn red/green/silver on some subraces unless you have Fix Hair Accessory Color installed. (You can also use that mod to turn them silver)
  • I tried to get all the hairs to at least look decent on the short and strong bodies, but they look best on the average height body 1.
  • There will be stretching & crunchy areas. I am very new to digital 3D so even on body 1, they won't always look perfect.
  • There will be some clipping depending on race and clothing, that is almost unavoidable. I'm not making a separate mesh for every race & body & outfit.
  • Only the Tamarie hair has physics at the moment. It looks like giving physics to the Cadmus braids might just be a pipe dream...
  • Helmet hairs are enabled! (Fun fact for my fellow hair modders: helmet hair is determined by the "HairType" line in your _merged; if it's 0, then the character will just be bald when wearing a helmet/hat)
  • There are highlights! This blender plugin makes it pretty easy so I don't have to manually paint them
  • Also has icons!

Installation

How To Install BG3 Mods

Download it, unzip, and install with your mod manager (I use BG3MM). Make sure it is loaded above Patches for CC Races lsx
. if you have it.

You can find the info needed for Manual Installation in the info.json file that comes with each pak.

Uninstallation

You should be safe to simply remove it from the load order and/or delete it. Any existing characters using one of these hairs should revert to a vanilla hair.
