Thanks for this. I remember this always bothering me and it pretty much locked you into playing through with the one same party no matter what, because the other characters would end up noticeably weaker.
Also kudos for offering versions for both just DS 2 and DS 2 + BW. I want to play through the game without BW first, so being able to still use this fix is great.
Both unrecruited companions and companions at the inn properly get the skill point rewards from any quests.
Since there's a special version for Aranna Legacy which is based on the Hotfix Mod, I wonder if the original game version is compatible with the Hotfix Mod? Thanks.
I used the Aranna Legacy version, and it seems the skill point reward for saving the War Hound in Southern Greilyn jungle was not transferred to other party members.

The game already sets different variables per character (including party members) for all the quests that grant extra skill points. So I just do a quick check whenever a new party member is added to see which variables are set on the player character but not on the new party member. That's why one would have to send their party members to the inn and recruit them if installing on an old save.
I'm not sure which version of Aranna Legacy I made it for but I would assume the latest at the time my mod was uploaded. It's the one downloaded here: https://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node/1308 It's says Alpha 3X so it is I guess :P
Thank you for the reply. This mod really is fantastic, Dungeon Siege II is one of my all time favorite games, but i usually have stopped playing it because this particular thing kept bothering me. I always ended up using only Lothar,Deru and Taar because they gained more skillpoints than your future party members. I realize that a couple of skillpoints is not that much, but i am a min-maxer when it comes to these types of games. So, thanks again for the mod.
