Seems to work fine. I just tried this on my Legendary Skyrim and now its working again.
I think it would be nice though if you could add a notification or someway to let the user know that its actually working. After logging in to Steam, the window disappeared, but then I really had no way of knowing if it was actually working. I resisted the temptation to close Vortex, and then when I noticed my PC was lagging I knew something was going on. So I opened task manager and then could see that the download was occurring and writing to disk. It also wasn't clear when it was done.
It did place 6 manifest txt files in my Skyrim folder afterwards.... are these safe to delete? Thanks for this, fixed my LE Skyrim so endorsing

this WILL break so many older mods that require altering some core files to make them work
I know this requires the mod author to make the request for validation
but VORTEX team seem to like to break anything and everything
Currently, only RE Engine Games require this extension.
