Minx's Happytime Explosive Gunz:
Three Standalone Weapons

====

Here are three standalone new weapons of the fully automatic explosive variety! All have buffed damage, range, magazines, firing speed, reload speed, and more. They are also all Legendary just for the sake of being Legendary. All three are coded to drop in "Quality Tier 4" or Advanced, even if you're at lvl 1. Thus they won't drop higher later. Make no mistake, these are pretty OP and hilariously fun, but are not really "pure" lore-wise nor very sensical.

All three weapons (5x of each) plus 20,000 rounds of two ammo types have been added for sale at three vendors: at Neon Tactical in Neon, at Centaurian Arsenal in New Atlantis - Residential District, and from Manaki at the Trade Authority in Cydonia, Mars. Mostly this is done at three vendors just in case, and it probably will happen, some else makes a mod with things for sale at 1 of them and overrides mine. Plus more chances to stock up on the ammo.

Once installed, you'll probably have to wait on a bench / sleep for 24 hours to get the Vendors to restock before they show up! You can also console command "passtime 24" to instantly pass the time.

The guns also have a chance to drop inside Contraband Containers if you feel like hunting for them, but just 1 each if they do drop there.

You can also of course, use console commands to spawn them at your feet or add to inventory. In the console do "help Happytime 4 WEAP" and it will list the three guns, then you can player.additem or player.placeatme

Caution: you can def get yourself blowed up and unalived pretty fast with these. Enormous bounties may also be easy.

Will accept user-created workbench skins, I have a few Grendel skins here

Guns: details of the three added guns are as follows.

  • Happytime Boomstick - a Legendary and buffed Grendel in the beautiful Acid Rain skin, 250 magazine capacity, buffed stats, firing 40mm XPL straight line rockets.
  • Happytime Choppa - an explosive gatling gun that even Arnold Swaggerjiffy would be proud of! Get to the choppa in style with this Legendary, 500 magazine capacity, buffed stats weapon firing 11mm explosive rounds. Uses the X989 skin.
  • Happytime Sparklebox - a Legendary and buffed Grendel in the beautiful Acid Rain skin, 250 magazine capacity, buffed stats, firing 40mm Hornet Nest AOE rain rockets.

Options: None at this time, but it is set up to use vanilla default and custom Weapon Workbench skins and I hope to get around to making a few specialty skins for these when I have time.

====

Requirements: like other .esm mods, you must get and set up the Plugins.txt Enabler, then add
*Happytime-XPL-Gunz.esm
to your Plugins.txt file.

====

Install: use your favorite manager, the files should be set up to play nice. Or manually get the .zip and put the .esm into your main game install location /Data/ folder where the other .esm's and .ba2's are at. Does not go into your Documents/My Games/Starfield/Data/ folder.

====

Uninstall: use your choice of manager or manually delete:
*main install location*/Starfield/Data/Happytime-XPL-Gunz.esm

Problems: no major problems or issues known at this time. One new major problem with only these weapons found. Without the Skins Unlocked mod, the skin mod slot is broken at the moment. They will not accept new base available skins. I'm working on that right now. Does not affect vanilla base game variants, skinned or not.

Two minor problems know with no fix yet:
  • All three weapons are missing icons in the workbench, reason unknown. The problem def isn't in the weapon files, there must be something I have to add to the workbench files to reference the new weapons. They should be using the Grendel and Microgun silouette icons.
  • The Happytime Choppa (Microgun) has goofy magazine visual because it is force-coded to use the 11mm Explosive rounds like the AA99 vanilla gun does. Thus, it looks a little funny and the reload looks odd without the vanilla ammo box, but no big deal. Not sure this can be overcome with how the game handles ammo and magazines. In most cases, it has ammo type coded to magazine type which is coded to certain magazine visuals.

Suggested to get: check out the Weapon Skins Unlocked here on Nexus, it just unlocks any available vanilla weapon skins at the Workbench for guns that have skin variants.
