NOTES

This mod works for me and the way I want, so there won't be any updates or changes unless it is absolutely necessary due to an update to Starfield. I make mods to change Starfield in ways that I want and I share those mods because I figure that there may be folks out there that would like to use them too. Some of these mods are harder (and much less fun) for me to create than others and this is one of those mods that was difficult for me (and not fun at all). But as stated before, it does what I want it to do so I'm personally happy with it. I have turned off bug reports and comments because this mod is provided as-is.

FEATURES
  • Automatically Loots Items - I have added every bit of armor, weapons, junk, aid, chems, etc, etc that I could find. If I missed something, let me know.
  • Command Terminal - The terminal allows you to choose what items to loot and what items to leave behind. There are also other settings available (like allow stealing, or stealing is hostile).
  • Lodge Safe is Always Available - I made the safe in the player's room at the Lodge persistent, so you can always access it. Even before going to the Lodge.
  • Auto Unlock Containers - You have the option to auto unlock containers. If you choose to auto unlock, a digipick will be removed to unlock the container. If you do not have a digipick, it will search the Lodge safe and Lazy Scav for one. If none is found, the container will not be unlocked. You can also set it to check your Security rank before unlocking.
  • Destinations - You have the option to send loot to yourself, to the Lodge Safe, or to Lazy Scav. However, some loot will still go to specific places regardless of this setting. All items in containers and on corpses go to Lazy Scav (I did this so you don't get overencumbered every 5 seconds. It's annoying, trust me). All items that need activation (books, currency, skill mags) will always go to the player.
  • Filter Items in Containers and Corpses - You can filter these items, but it is set to take all by default. Filtering items from containers and corpses slows down looting considerably as it has to remove one item at a time. If you do turn this off, don't complain about it taking a long time to loot containers and corpses.
  • Option to Remove Corpses - You can set Lazy Scav to remove corpses after looting.
  • It AUTO LOOTS - Ok, there's really not much else to say about it, but really, isn't auto looting enough?
HOW TO USE
  • Optional File "Lazy Scav - No Console" - This file will give you an aid item that can be favorited to toggle looting. It will also give you a weapon that can be favorited to open the terminal. If you prefer using hotkeys, see below:
  • Using Hotkeys - Use Starfield Hotkeys to make your life easier. Below are all the commands.
    cgf "LZScav:SystemScript.ToggleLooting" ;Toggles looting
cgf "LZScav:SystemScript.OpenTerminal" ;Opens the command terminal to change settings
cgf "LZScav:SystemScript.OpenHoldingInventory" ;Opens Lazy Scav's Inventory
cgf "LZScav:SystemScript.MoveInventoryToLodgeSafe" ;Moves items from Lazy Scav to the Lodge safe
cgf "LZScav:SystemScript.OpenLodgeSafe" ;Opens the Lodge safe Inventory
NOTES
  • Quest Items - Quest items are not picked up EXCEPT if the item is in a container or on a corpse. Containers include slate and key holders, so if you are in the middle of a quest and the quest marker suddenly moves to outside or to your ship (i.e. Entangled when needing to pick up certain keys, or Eren's Slate during Divided Loyalties), check Lazy Scav's Inventory for the quest item. You can just grab it from him and continue on.
  • Disembodied Heads - When looting some corpses, the only thing left is a disembodied head. This is because some NPCs bodies are just the clothing they have in their inventory. When using scripts to remove items, it removes everything. Even items that you would not normally be able to take.
  • Gross Frozen Bodies - If you use this when going through the Lock, be forewarned. The naked frozen bodies you'll see everywhere are pretty disgusting. I use the option to remove corpses so it's not so bad.
  • Places Not Looted: It will not loot when you are in the Lodge or on your ship by design. This is so you can keep stuff in those places without it just being looted again.
  • Way More Loot - Since it removes all items from a corpse's inventory, you'll get way more loot than if you looted manually.
  • It Blew Up My Game!! - I've been using this mod for months. If it blows up your game, sorry, no warranties implied here. Use at your own risk (Seriously, mods are still not supported, so if you are using mods, ANY MODS, they are still experimental).
RECOMMENDED MODS
  • SKK Universal Stash (unlimited storage) - This mod also makes the Lodge Safe persistent but includes some other functions like moving things from Ship Cargo to the Safe plus it will connect them to workbenches.
  • Almost Weightless Starfield
  • Any mod to increase the amount of currency vendors have. I created one for my own use that I don't plan to upload, but there are many out there to chose from.
INSTALLATION
I will not provide installation instructions. This mod is not unique. Some folks use MO2, some use Vortex, some install it all manually. Do not expect me to know the ins and outs of modding using so many different methods. If you do not know how to install mods for Starfield, I suggest looking for one of the many guides online for how to setup Starfield for modding. Teach a man to fish and all that.
