FNS's Loot All the Things!

By popular request, I nerfed cardboard boxes further.
"I'm giving her all she's got Captain!"

I am a loot goblin, but at the same time, I like preserving game balance.  This mod tries to strike a nice balance of being useful, but not overpowered.

Casual gamers who like a relaxed experience will love this mod as is with default 100% Loot Abundance settings.

Hardcore gamers should lower their Loot Abundance %, or just not use this mod.

If you're not satisfied with this mod, I'd recommend trying "FPS Lootables Lite".  You might prefer his loot tables over mine.

This mod allows you to loot the following items:

Body Bags
Cardboard Boxes
Communion Tables
Computers
Ice Machines
IV Stands
Military Crates
Pallets
Pianos
Sofas
Toasters
Urinals
Water Barrels
Water Fountains
Wine Barrels
Wine Bottles

Some users might say the Military Crates are too OP early game.
Yes, but I actually like military crates actually having ammo.
If you don't like that, remove/comment out those lines of code yourself.

I tested this mod at 100% Default loot settings, it's normal for some containers to be empty sometimes.
That's a feature, not a bug :P
I recommend casual players to leave their loot settings at the default 100% to enjoy this mod/game to the fullest.

If you find this mod too overpowered, try lowering your Loot Abundance settings to 75%!

TFP updated loot bags recently, and now animals drop loot bags too, so if you want more of a challenge, lower your Loot Abundance %.

I will not nerf it much further unless you want to help write the xml changes yourself, test to ensure it works, then ask me to include it here.  You can go in to the xml file and see... what else is there to nerf?  I pretty much gutted it.

Warning: if you play with lowered loot settings, you are going to spend a lot more time looting empty containers.  That's just how the loot system works.  I can't/won't fix this.  If you normally (with 100%) have a low chance of getting 0-3 bottles of murky water, but are playing at 75%, you're going to pull a lot more zeros, and no threes.  It is what it is.

For transparency:
I was inspired by TribalDragon19's LootableEverything mod. There are a few "loot more things" mods out there, but his was my favorite.
My only problem with his, is that I felt it was too overpowered for my Collection (mod pack).
TribalDragon19 approved of my variants, and was kind enough to allow me to keep this version up for people who like the nerfs.
If you are looking for a beefier version for higher power games, check out his original version.

There are now two Variants of Loot All the Things (LAtT):
DO NOT INSTALL BOTH VARIANTS! PICK ONE!

1. The main version of LAtT has most of the modded loot containers go *poof* and disappear after being emptied.

2. The variant LAtT makes all of the containers persistent after looting.  Meaning, they don't go *poof* and disappear when emptied.  The variant allows the containers to stick around after being emptied, so if you are playing where containers self-replenish after a few days, they will refill.  This variant mod was requested by a user, and it's the perfect example of useful feedback mod authors want to hear so they can improve the mod for everyone!

Installation

There are three options for installation, pick one.

1. Use the Vortex Mod Manager to install just this mod for you.  The Vortex application will run it for you, but you have to launch the game from Vortex.  I generally recommend this option for most users.  Vortex is working fine for me playing with POIs and mods for 7D2D on 1.0.  I have had no issues, and it makes it easier for users to update/disable mods.   If you have issues with Vortex, lets troubleshoot them together.

2. If you are looking for a full package Quality of Life Vanilla+ experience, I give you my own curated Collection (ModPack) for 7D2D.  It uses the Vortex Mod Manager to install my POIs, this mod, plus some of the best stable QoL mods currently available on Nexus for 7 days to die.  Better 7D2D by FNS

3. Manual Installation:
(for old school modders who like more control)
Download the .zip file
Place the .zip file into your Mods folder and unzip the contents.

Notice 1: You must create a new world for this mod to work properly.  The locations previously generated in existing worlds have already loaded their loot containers, and will not update.  You could try to reset chunks, but this is not recommended as it could corrupt your save.

Notice 2: This mod is only needed on the server side.

Notice 3: Users have reported this mod is temperamental with regards to load order.  Most users have reported to make this the very last mod, and that worked for them.  It's probably based on this mod interacting with other mods in your load order.   You might have to play around with your load order.

Notice 4: No, you cannot remove the mod/change the variant, and play in the same world, it will error out.  The engine (and code) running in the background of the saved game world is searching for something you removed, and is throwing an error.  Remove the mod, then you have to start a new game/world without the mod.

Notice 5: When TFP moved from update b316, to b317, I was able to play in the same save/world without issue.  However, users must understand, until the game is fully stable, all updates to the game may break any mods functionality.  If you want to use this mod in a long playthrough, I recommend you disable Steam's automatic updates for 7D2D, and use a different method to launch the game (to avoid the update at launch).  You can use the Game Launcher, or use Vortex to bypass the update if you disabled it.  During this experimental beta phase where the game is getting constant updates, mods can break.

Troubleshooting the mod:

1. For manual downloaders: Did you insert and unzip the folder into your Mods folder?

2. Did you install your mod prior to starting a new world/save?

3. Have you tried moving this mod's load order.  Try having it load last.  For manual modders, add "zzz" in front of my unzipped title file so it alphabetically loads last.  For Vortex users, there is a "Load Order" screen on the bottom left underneath Mods and Collections.  Just move it up or down as works best for your needs.

4. Delete the mod entirely.  Download it again, reinstall, enable, play with the mod load order (try this mod last), and deploy.

5. If it doesn't work after all that, you might have a conflicting mod.  I can't/won't troubleshoot that for you, sorry.  I am personally running this mod with 70 other mods and it's working.  I will admit, this mod is more temperamental than most... if I add a new mod, I have to do step 4 of troubleshooting, every time.

P.S. If you like POI mods, you should try the: FNS POI Pack 1.0
