Changelogs
Version 1.Hackedv1
Revised to use injected records to work around OMOD bug. MOPUpdate.txt included to update existing Monster Costumes in player's save file.
Changed to FOMOD installer instead of separate downloads
Added Monster Outfit Plus Extended addon that increases quality level cap to 20.
Version 1.02
Added placeholder effects in legendary slots for ease of compatibility with legendary crafting mods. (Didn't work. Use 1.01 for now)
Version 1.01c
Black costume now uses .ba2 instead of loose files
Version 1.01b
Adjusted Black costume to better match gloves and added meaty color back to mouth
Did you know that there are alternate dialogue lines when wearing the Monster Costume? Hate the fact that it's relegated to joke status in terms of stats and utility? Wish that the tardigrade could fly? Well this mod will make the Monster Costume worth keeping around for all your shenanigan-related needs.
UPDATE: Since the new version uses injected records to work around the OMOD bug, MOPUpdate.txt is included in the download so you can update existing Monster Costumes with the revised OMODs. Mod managers will deploy it in the Starfield\Data\ directory, so make sure to move it to the Starfield\ directory before attempting to use "bat MOPUpdate" (without quotes) in the console.
Changes:
Added the Spacesuit/Helmet/Backpack DR offsets that other quest reward pieces of armor get
Added the combined value of the balanced Hazard Resistance attachment for Spacesuit/Helmet/Backpack
Added attachment slots for Boostpack, Spacesuit, Helmet, and Backpack mods, using the vanilla requirements for crafting them. Also has legendary attachment slots for compatibility with legendary crafting mods.
Full T1-T5 quality range implemented in base mod, with up to T20 support with Monster Outfit Plus Extended. Like the DR Reward offsets and Hazard Resistance attachments, quality upgrade values take into account that the Monster Costume takes up three armor slots. Quality can be upgraded at Spacesuit Workbench. Thematically appropriate research, skill, and ingredients chosen for each quality upgrade. They might seem like a lot at first, but this mod is geared towards NG+ shenanigans.
Added compatibility for mods that change the display name to show tier and tags.
Install with mod manager (Vortex/MO2) or manually install (not recommended by me, but I made the folder structure pretty straightforward for the manual installation crowd)
Add *MonsterOutfitPlus.esm (and any installed compatibility patches or addons) to your plugins.txt
If you haven't received the Monster Costume yet in your current playthrough, you should receive this upgraded version upon completing the associated questline. Otherwise, use the following console command to add one to your inventory
